Random Thoughts 15: Crystal Clear 2021 Edition

Driving home and came upon a semi that was perpendicular to the road, still upright. There were no cops there so it must have just happened. The truck was completely in the ditch with the trailer completely blocking the road so I had to turn around. Trying to picture how it happened. It's not icy or anything. Curious to know how they are going to get it out of there.

They'll bring a crane out to pick it out of the ditch. Last January when I was driving back from Blacksburg I ended up staying in KC because I had driven the last few hours at about 45-50 on the interstate in the snow and the radar showed the storm right over i29 north of KC. The next morning I saw 2 semis in the ditch and there was already a crane at the first one getting ready to pick it up.

I had to settle with putting an "agree" rating on KC's post about being realllllly old from 2014.

I still show it on the first page of my forums (I'm not opted into the cave). It was from 2014 and was resurrected today. It wasn't necessarily a great thread, but I'm a sucker for em when they get bumped.

Likely a smart move. The gals here will remind you that doing the guy "I'm fine" thing isn't always smart. Plus this damn thing can be a bit of a fooler when it comes to actual oxygen levels and still feeling okay.

Well meetings, then bookwork, then a new thermostat and oil change to the pickup. Tomorrow is put a new exhaust and tail pipe on the pickup day.

I whined to dh last week when I saw it (a meeting clearly showing this person has nothing to do) that no way we are done in time, should have been 90 minutes of uselessness. I left at minute 84 as they were wrapping up because I had another meeting.

My boss just puts meeting on my calendar, without any invites. So some days I get to work and find out i have a meeting.
