Eh, I think there is a little constipation because we're trying to smoosh a month's worth of conversation into just two weeks. Normally there is a full week for the teams to congratulate and get to know each other before the stat dorks take over and spend the next couple weeks analyzing line weights, schemes, 40 times, and individual matchups. This year Oregon only played half a season (credit to the B12 for better leadership) so even the metrics to argue about aren't very reliable. This hasn't made it past page 20 in hours. I am disappointed.
I kinda feel for the Cyclone fans. They finally check the NY6 box and then sort of miss out on the full fan pregame experience on account of the coof coof.
I love this site and have had a great time so far with ISU fans. To compare it with the Oregon timeline they are sort of where Bellotti took the Ducks to the Fiesta in 2002 against Colorado. They knock of Oregon and they really get on the map.
But I'll watch the Fiesta this year not really having a deep understanding of the opponent or having the luxury of being able to root together with the opponent's fans for or against some lesser bowl leading up to the big game.
I'm just happy that the Ducks are playing another game.
BTW, your first name isn't Rob is it?
