Is 'Last Christmas' a classic Christmas song? Seems to get a ton of play.

Just talked to my Father Figure, He says YES
Why wouldn't it be? If Die Hard is a Christmas movie, then this is a Christmas song.
It's a god awful song that should never be played again by anyone in any scenario. Same with Paul McCartney's "Wonderful Christmastime" and John Lennon's "Happy Xmas (War is Over)"
It really is so terrible, and I even ironically listen to some Wham! on 80s playlists. I don't understand how "Wonderful Christmastime" and "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" can be so terrible. They're just so terrible. Full disclosure, I also don't really care much about Pentatonix.

I like the version of All I Want For Christmas is You from Vince Vance and the Valiants too.Wham! Last Christmas is def a Holiday staple. I used to hate it, but it has grown on me over the years. I personally think the Wham! version is the only version that should be played - much like I think Mariah's 'All I want for Christmas' and Elvis' 'Blue Christmas' are the only versions of those that should be played. For what its worth, my wife hates 'Last Christmas'.
I cringe every time McCartney's 'Wonderful Christmastime' comes on. Possibly the worst (regularly played) Christmas song ever.
