That is what it should be 1-6 but since Georgia throttled a “ranked” team on the road, I wouldn’t be surprised if committee uses that as an excuse to put them ahead of Iowa State since we were idle. They used that as their reason why we passed Cincinnati and Georgia last week (on top of crushing West Virginia).

Going to be close. I still think A&M will get in over us, unless we beat OU by 21 or more. If not, "eye test" and A&M's only loss to the #1 team will be used against us. Louisiana beating Coastal would be huge.
Possibly...A&M has (1) win vs Top 25 albeit a good win. They have played (3) top 25 teams.
ISU on other hand will have (3) Top 25 wins...playing (5) Top 25 teams.
Add to that a confernce championship which committee highly values.
of course all of this dpends upon NW pulling off huge upset.
I almost this committee doesn’t value certain things they should..Like SOS. Which Ohio st doesn’t have...Like Iowa certainly doesnt have.

If Florida can lose to LSU then A&M can lose to Tennessee next weekend. I don’t think that’s going to happen, but it’s certainly possible. That’s really our only hope to leapfrog the Aggies unless we completely dismantle Oklahoma.
So ESPN is at it again. After their win last night they now have USC with a 50% chance to make the playoffs. ISU no where on their graphic.
I say next year the Big12 just drop the round robin and have the expected top teams just avoid playing each other. Just setup 6 game conference schedules. We'd have a guaranteed 2 teams in the playoffs, right?

I still don't believe we have a shot. A two loss team has NEVER made it higher than #5 in the CFP, and it's never happened unless you're named Ohio State or Penn State.
I don't either but am okay with it and hope everyone just thoroughly enjoys the good committee praise putting us at #7 this past week. Only care about beating OU, winning that championship, and landing a NY6 game....the rest is 'gravy'.
Watch the machinations now to see to it OSU gets locked in at #3 so they avoid Alabama. It won't be good enough to just get them in, they will want to do everything they can do to provide validation for the choice. The Buckeyes getting boat raced by Bama would not help that.
No, it would be to avoid a ND Clemson rematch a week later in the semis. Why I don’t think they will let Clemson in if they lose again.
I saw that too. That is a Playoff Odds Predictor based on what it has taken for the teams to be selected in the past between 2014-9 not on quality or merit from this year. USC is Undefeated, which helps them (since undefeated teams have been chosen every year), and ISU has two losses - which basically eliminates them (since a 2 loss team has NEVER been selected). Florida is basically eliminated with a 1% chance too. Hope that helps explain it! It's not as bad as the lazy comments about ISU vs. Cincinnati quality by "analysts".
Florida coach took a shot at Ohio St, the Big 10, and CFP Committee after their loss by saying they shouldn't have played LSU, because apparently you get rewarded for not playing. (Paraphrasing)
ISU will jump them if ND wins. Clemsons only good win would be against Miami, who will end up around #20 in the final CFP.

If OSU loses 1-1
Georgia 0–2
If ISU wins it will be 3-2 assuming LA doesn’t drop out.
