Why didn’t Garza go to the NBA?
I would take 32 wins anytime with a foul call or two late in the game with a trip to the FINAL FOUR on the line.....Tinsley and Fizer were great that year also with a great supporting cast of players32-5.
I am also writing off all Road Games....We are now entering Coach Lynn Nance territory with csp......Good point.
I think I gave us a shot at K-State at home but not on the road. I'm writing off all the road games.
Mississippi St. still has Howland coaching, so I wrote that off.
Could Garza contribute to an NBA team? I mean, he can't guard too save his life, but could he score and rebound effectively at that level? He's obviously not going to be the focal point of an offense ever, but could he retool his game and become an off the bench stretch 5? Stand, pass, and occasionally shoot an open 3?Wow, can't answer that without sounding mean. He's a really good college level player. How's that?
I think his closest comp in the NBA is Enes Kanter. Guy can score against almost anybody but his a huge defensive liability. Although, I think Kanter is a better rebounder.Could Garza contribute to an NBA team? I mean, he can't guard too save his life, but could he score and rebound effectively at that level? I can see this. He's a pick and pop guy for sure. Somebody will take a shot on him, whether it is in the draft or as an UDFA. Only question is would he settle to be a 2 way player for a couple years or opt for better money in Europe? I think he could be an overseas star.I think his closest comp in the NBA is Enes Kanter.
