Two Big XII team in NY6 bowls

It would be pretty bull **** if they took a 4th SEC team over a 2nd Big 12 or hell even PAC 12 team

CW isn't known for always being right. Most bowl projections have us in the Alamo bowl

Has Jerry Palm ever gotten our bowl game right? I almost always go up one tier based on his insights.

In terms of Bowl Projections I would not look to Jerry Palm. I think Stewart Mandel (Athletic) & Brett McMurphy (Stadium) are usually the 2 best when it comes to bowl projections.

Frankly there's a lot yet to play out and it's premature to say ISU/Oklahoma for sure will or won't get in with a loss.

If Georgia, Miami, Indiana, Cincinnati, and Coastal all win out its going to be tough. If say three of those teams pick up a loss it's almost guaranteed 2 Big XII teams make it (provided OU beats WV). If one or two of those teams lose a game it's seems like a toss up and would depend on how close the Big XII championship game is.

Miami loses to UNC on Saturday I would think. Iowa State will pass Georgia in the CFP rankings to be number 8 tomorrow, that helps.

I think Georgia is out. With Florida and A&M there it would put a fourth SEC in and doubt they would especially if only one makes the CFP.

Correct. The SEC catches a ton of breaks but there is no way that they are putting Bama in the title game plus 3 at large NY6 bids. It won't happen. If Cicni wins out they will be the G5 bid but unfortunately Coastal won't even be in the discussion. They are only ranked 18th right now and the committee is going to sand bag their ranking this week because they don't want to be put in a position where they feel like they will have to give two G5 bids.

At this point, ISU fans need to cheer against the following teams.

Georgia - Plays Mizzo
Indiana - Plays Purdue and then either OSU/IOWA/WIS
Miami - Plays UNC
Northwestern - Illinois and then BIG Champ
Texas AM - Tennesse
Florida - LSU/BAMA

Cincy or Coastal will get the Gof5 Bid and it's highly unlikely both will make it. Florida and A&M will most likely get in even with a second loss over us. The big ones are IU/UM/UGA/NW. It's 5 teams for 3 spots.

Correct. Remember who the committee is mostly made up of. Older people from P5 conferences. They will protect themselves also.

I think we've got 3 in play...

Cotton
Fiesta
Alamo

We'll be in 1 of those 3.

Sucks no fans will be able to attend Fiesta. Alamo may be better from a fan standpoint, but a big name bowl like a Fiesta would be great.

I would really love the Fiesta, but I would rather be Big 12 champs and in the Cotton. I assume that's how that would have to work? If it came to picking though, Fiesta excites me more.

Why? Dallas is better than Glendale. They both have corporate NFL monstrosity stadiums so it's not like it's a cooler stadium experience.

I looked. 2016 and 2017 when Big 12 only got one team in, the runner up both years (Ok St & TCU) was the #13 team and first team out. If we stay in the top 12 (even with a CCG loss) we should be good. Which means it has to be a good game and close loss, but hey, let's just win and remove all doubt.

Warmer than Dallas and Fiesta has a bigger name from BCS days than the cotton. The Phx 10-12 band monster NY party downtown can be a lot of fun also. Nice to walk around in T-shirt and shorts
