We’ll graduate two of our three starting safeties. Every wide receiver except Landon Akers will be back, including a healthy Tarique Milton. Guys like Darien Porter will be better positioned to break through. If he's a legit 4.4 guy could he a be a receiver for us down the road?
Could argue that is the bigger depth chart need for us right now? Watching the video he can run decent routes, blows by people, and can make people miss on offense
I don’t think so. His routes aren’t crisp and I’m not so sure how good his hands are.If he's a legit 4.4 guy could he a be a receiver for us down the road?

Guys like Scates have crazy potential, but need to learn how to run routes and properly line up before the snap or he won’t work out. If Scates can be as good next year as his recruiting ranking, then receivers will be our strength. If not, yikes. Remember that Kolar likely isn’t returning. We’ll graduate two of our three starting safeties. Every wide receiver except Landon Akers will be back, including a healthy Tarique Milton. Exactly how to you plan to argue that WR is a bigger need?

That's all just one game? Holy cow.
Unless I’m counting wrong, Junior and Senior seasons would be two.Beau Freyler: WR/RB/Slot/FS/SS/PR/KR
Kid has played one year of football.
There are times I wonder when people using terms like “legit 4.4” realize that you round the hundredths to the nearest zero. Mainly because it would be just as easy to say “4.42”.<<<They're getting a future NFL safety," Freyler's trainer Warren McCarty said. "He has legit 4.4 speed, he's also 6-2 barefoot and he has incredible ball skills, a tremendous work ethic, loves the game, state champion as a junior, feel like he's going to walk out of high school with a couple state championship rings and he chose Iowa State over a couple programs that were more high-profile.
"So I think he's that special combination of the guy who loves the game, loves to work, is also a high-character dude off the field and high academic, he checks all the boxes, the coach's dream. Because of his role, he could have just as easily been a national recruit as a receiver, his ball skills, his route running and his ability to go get the rock, he's elite doing that as well but that's not his role at his high school.">>>

Jaylin Noel (ISU Commit) ran a 11.0s 100m as a Sophomore (and was injured). He has gotten faster from his sophomore to Senior season. I'd guess he'd be one of the faster players on the team next year. There are times I wonder when people using terms like “legit 4.4” realize that you round the hundredths to the nearest zero. In Beau’s case it doesn’t matter, because whether he’s a 4.48 or a 4.42 right now, he’s still going to make for a great safety.
Rhone will not be a CycloneI’ll see your Langston, Chambers, McDonald and Young (and toss in Army for you), and raise with youngsters like Porter, Anderson, Jackson, Bitter, Michaud and Noel—and I’m not including a rehabbing James or an as-yet uncommitted Rhône.
Freyler just fits very well at safety. He basically cements the rotation.
Kind of reminds me of Nik Moser.
Try saying “the staff isn’t interested any more”, or “the kid seems to be looking elsewhere” without making flat out statements.Rhone will not be a Cyclone
What the heck, all of our recruits took a jump in ratings? This staff knows what they are doing!Up to a 87 rating on 247sports.
