Iowa State and Kansas State will renew their rivalry next Saturday (3 p.m. on FOX) in Jack Trice Stadium and the Cyclones are a nine-point favorite.

Both teams are coming off of bye weeks.

Iowa State currently sits at the top of the Big 12 conference with a 5-1 league record. The Wildcats are 4-2 in conference play. Kansas State began Big 12 play 4-0 but has lost two in a row, at West Virginia and at home to Oklahoma State.

Next Saturday will be an important one in the race for a Big 12 champion as along with this game in Ames, Oklahoma will host Oklahoma State in Norman.

Nationally that is going to look right. But that is a lot of points IMO. If the o/u is in the high 40's then something stinks.

I was figuring 5-6. Might shift a little one way or another depending on what Covid does to both teams. Based on what we have seen, KSU may not be able to field a team or hopefully they will be short handed.
As always, I expect this to be a war.

I heard KSU had some positive tests...I hope we follow big 12 rules (I think it's needing 55 available) vs rescheduling (ala Wisconsin).

Would love a routine win (I know, lol vs KSU) and then it'll be Texas for title game!

They reported 20 cases in their program last week, but I believe that includes coaches, trainers, etc. Someone else thought that a lot of the cases were in younger players, but of course that would be pure speculation or rumors, as no one is supposed to release names of players infected.

Kstate will cover. ISU will win. Hope I'm wrong and we beat them like a drum but KSU vs. ISU is usually not a game that ISU dominates.

I think taking KSU to cover is a defendable bet.

At the very least I cover my beer costs which I usually double for the KSU game.

ISU and I probably both win

If ISU covers, would be the best money I ever spent.

Two trends I don't like here. ISUs recent history against K-State and the tendency of Campbells teams to fade down the stretch. Let's hope we can overcome these and kick their butts, but I certainly wouldn't bet on it.
