WRONG. I think it is a HORRIBLE trophy. But it is hilarious. And it is perfect for this pseudo rivalry with the name FARMAGGEDON which was merely mocking Armageddon for KU vs Mu. Honestly, it’s perfect. But I don’t take forced trophies very seriously. If you try to have a serious trophy it is going to be something stupid like the Heroes trophy Nebraska and Iowa play for. Let’s go for humor and acknowledge it is stupid.

Those that hate it, not sure what you're expecting? The good college rivalry trophies are goofy and unique; Iowa plays for a pig, we used to play for a telephone, Texas and Oklahoma play for a hat. All are a lot better than the bland Cyhawk trophy.

I think the antique tractor is definitely the best, and most unique option.

But if we had to have a more traditional trophy, I think a good option for a topper would be a barn and silo. It is classic Americana imagery that ties in well with the ag roots of both schools. Also, if the schools are still against the use of Farmaggedon as a name, they could call it something like "The Farmstead Trophy" officially, and the fans can keep using the actual name.

I’ve always found these type of one game trophies to be equivalent to the participation trophies I got in middle school wrestling and basketball. Almost as bad as the fake rivalries like Iowa vs Nebraska.

I’d doubt you’d go up to an ISU player holding the CyHawk Trophy after we win the game and say - “you just won a participation trophy... put it down and go win the B12 championship”...
