I love Jirehl Brock

I lost track-was Lang out in the slot today or just a 2nd back to take a pass or two?

Either way props to him as well for stepping in when called upon.

Like seeing him congratulate other teammates, but dude is a rs freshman, not sure why he would be thinking transfer already over playing time. His time will come and depending on when Hall goes pro it may come soon.

It all hinges on what Kene does. Kene is a very smart dude. He could graduate or he could I think become a return man in the NFL.

Kene doesn't have good enough hands
Our screen pass, pass catching back doesn’t have good enough hands?

I mean, if we’re talking to be elite, sure, but outside of Hutch, I don’t know how much worse Kene’s can be than what we have out there.
Mind you, I’m not saying he should be taking 30 snaps a game at wideout.

I’ve never understood why we aren’t throwing 4-5 bubble screens to Kene every game.

I know he really messed one up last year that ended up getting pick 6’d, but with his skill set, it seems like a no brainer

Why haven’t we done the wildcat or one of those goofy formations like that yet?

That isn't Kene lol

“Iowa State came out of the gates and specifically tried to get receivers not-named Xavier Hutchisoninvolved early. This resulted in Landon Akers of all people leading Iowa State in receptions Saturday with six. Sean Shaw and Joe Scates also caught passes from the wide receiver position.

Nine Cyclones caught passes in the win.

It didn’t stop at wideout. Kene Nwangwu was involved heavily, early and often.”

I'm probably a bigger Kene fan than you FWIW. I absolutely love him and wish we used him more to attack the edges. The reason he isn't a WR is because of his hands. He only has 7 catches in his career. Same reason he isn't our punt returner

I don’t really give a **** who’s a bigger Kene fan. It appears there was an intention to target him for a reason though.

I was excited that Brock was in the game early in the second half and then we had a bad snap. Looked like he was going to get an opportunity with some meaningful snaps, but it didn’t work out.

It is hard to get snaps when Breece and Kene have been killing it.

Brock will see his day & not transfer. He is on special teams & occasionally in the backfield. If Hall keeps up with 100+ per game & gets national media love, it’s not out of the question that he leaves. I hope not but I am guessing Chuba H hasn’t raised his NFL status by returning.
