Isn't this how Baylor gets an Outbreak?

If they do have an outbreak and games have to be cancelled shouldn't the big12 consider it a forfeit? How can that be in line with conference covid protocal? How can they claim to be serious about prevention?

I view this similar to rushing the field. Fine and reprimand them.

Wait wait. The football team actually lined up and actually high fived the student section?
Pretty stupid. My daughter’s softball games, the umpires don’t even let the players run over and high-five the pitcher after a strikeout. Post-game handshakes are out too- they now do the “wave, good game!” thing instead.

If they were forced to forfeit, programs would have even more incentive to hide cases/outbreaks.

I was surprised to see TCU fans in the first row of stands directly behind the visitor section. Seemed pretty close and I can think of stadiums where it's even closer like Iowa or Oklahoma. If I were coach and a player was exposed via an opponent's fan I'd be pissed.

Celebrating a win. How dare they. Plus, pretty sure Baylor is a program that used the get it early and forget about it strategy. Most of those guys probably already had the virus.

You forgot Tech.

It wasn't just fans. TCU puts their students on the sideline right behind the visiting bench. So, they weren't just seated in rows, they were standing and bunched at the front of the sideline sections.

Meh. COVID exposure is defined by something like less than 6 ft contact for greater than 15 minutes. A high five line that takes a minute to go through isn't high risk stuff.

Silly risk, sure. But not that big of a deal here, IMO.
Interesting.

A healthy immune system can handle dozens of viruses. It takes hundreds of COVID-19 viruses to overwhelm it and get sick.

That’s why you wear a mask (along with everything else), to minimize the number of viruses your immune system has to handle.

So, after playing football and being in close contact for with other players for two hours...

...topping it off with this doesn’t seem like a great idea.

Meh. Baylor will ruin fans in the stands for themselves. They are already used to playing in front of tarps and empty seats anyway.

That's not how this works. It only takes one.

And Baylor magically goes from 28 cases to zero in a week.
