Kicker Shoutout ...

And our kickoff guy (Ogamba?) put a couple in the end zone!!!! Improvement.
He better. Maybe it is just the angle they have been using for the kickoffs but it seems like his kicks are more of a line drive so there is very little hang time. Maybe it is just perception because (except for the obvious exception) it doesn't seem like teams are putting together long returns on his kicks. Dude appears to have very little follow through on his kicks, but it seems to work for him.

What happened to the grad transfer kicker from Liberty? Alex Probert. He had a 65% touchback rate at Liberty last year with a 62.5 yard avg.

I can't find kickoff stats anywhere for Ogamba this year to compare.

MIght as well throw Rivera in there as well. He is leading the league in punting at 45.1 yds per attempt.

He has bombed a few of them and has had pretty good placement when punting in the traditional style.

What happened to the Aussie dude? Did he just get replaced or did he leave/graduate?

And he is far from leading the league in attempts. That says good things about our offense...

Right, was last week Ogamba's first game? He hit a few early kickoffs well, but also had a couple that weren't well struck. (One wasn't his fault after the (phantom) penalty against Foster)

No, he did kickoffs in the Louisiana game and the OK game. Part of the criticism was he wasn't getting the KO's deep enough which (in part) contributed to the KO return for a TD.
