“Huge contract” is certainly eye-catching, but there are two telling points you used:
No training
Wasn’t consulted

If you are the first person your firm comes to, it tells me they are used to getting quality labor/results from you at a price they are happy with. Time for you to negotiate wages (and probably polish your resume and see what other firms are offering). If the contract really is that large they won’t want you to leave.
