Friday OT #1 - I Drink Alone

In my basement with the family. Chili and slider sandwiches. My oldest daughters boyfriend is a Hawkeye fan and he asked if he was invited too. I told him he was welcome to come watch an exciting team play football. I'll probably have to explain how the forward pass works to him though.

Since it is in the basement you will be prepping him for his life after a U of I degree. Living in mom and dads basement. Unless he marries your daughter, then maybe yours.

I was going to put more of it in there to make it more obvious, but then decided not to - I'm so glad he got it!
He likes a lot of classic rock, but his Thorogood interest started very early. He had some pajamas when he was little that had a T-Rex skeleton playing an electric guitar on them. I asked him and our family what song we each thought the T-Rex was playing. They all had ideas but I said that I was pretty sure he was playing Bad to the Bone. I then played it for him. He wanted it added to the rotation of songs we used to either play for him or sing to him to wake him up in the morning. As he got older he started playing more Thorogood.

Before anyone points it out, yes, I know that a t-rex skeleton playing an electric guitar isn't very realistic - arms are too short.

Living room TV. Will miss the atmosphere but will enjoy the cheaper food/drinks and private bathroom.

Don't tell @CloneLawman I remember in college him making fun of him and saying he was bad. Talked about all his songs sounded the same since the main words all are four syllable words.

Your memories are clouded it seems. I may not be George's very biggest fan, but I do have some of his music and I like him and his band.

Are you asking me "Who do you love?"

As a parent, I totally understand every part of this, other than that I would have expected the t-rex skeleton to be playing T.Rex! :)

In my dorm room using a stream I'm sure will be about a play behind. First home opener I haven't been there for since I can remember

I'll be watching alone from my apartment in Dallas. I typically went to the DFW alumni game watches or watched at home with my 3 tv setup  (pic from a couple years back. It's too messy right now to take another :campbell:
