Good family friends of ours did lutefisk every year and it is honestly one of the most disgusting things I've ever had. Stand your ground!

23 years so she's stopped asking. She also has this bread pudding. If that is desert, I know why the vikings pillaged so much. They were looking for something decent to eat.

Story I tell about lutefisk. My mom made it once (not really just a story) and my dad and her just didn't like it. So, she threw it outside to get rid of it. The dog ate some of it, then he proceeded to lick his Ahole for the next couple hours to get the taste out of his mouth.

Basically a breaded tenderloin.

I think tenderloins are deep fried and schnitzel are pan fried. Also we usually use panko with Italian seasoning for our breadcrumbs, gives it a different flavor than tenderloins.

My MIL makes that lutefisk crap. Told me I wouldn't be part of the family if I didn't eat it. Im not part of the family yet. That stuff can destroy an appetite fast. I used to think there was some bad German food, but after having/being around the Norwegian stuff, the bad german food is like fine dining.

Norwegian food and Scottish food are basically based on a series of drunken dares...

German potato pancakes with a little applesauce is really good when done well.
