I did. That doesn’t change the risk management component. Clearly coach missed the mark. I suspect he had others directing his rm plan.Did you watch that game? Navy couldn’t tackle or block. They were getting throttled out there, on both sides of the ball. Good way to set your players up for injury.
We had no business beating UNI last year
We had 463 yards of total offense. They had 262 yards of total offense. The only reason it even went to OT was because of a questionable at best defensive TD they got. We completely dominated the line of scrimmage and held then to 34 rushing yards on 31 attempts.

I'm not hyping it because I'm pretty confident we will be the real deal this year. Speak softly but carry a big stick. We are ranked preseason and the talk of ESPN several times over the weekend as a dark horse contender for both the Big 12 and to sneak into the playoffs because of that. Last night during the BYU Navy game they said much of it yet again.
I love the attention and respect, but I also know when the eyes are on us, we typically lay an egg. When the eyes are elsewhere, we surprise the world.
Some could say that trepidation is a disease inflicted on any Iowa State, Cubs, or Vikings fan after 20-30 years. Luckily I don’t like baseball much and am a Packers and Eagles fan
This might be the first time I can ever remember in either football or basketball where the local hype is less than the national hype - but I think that’s largely due to everything else in 2020 keeping anybody from expecting anything.
I may be positive, but I don’t invest enough in my own guesswork to need a nut cup. It’s not that I think your wrong or don’t hope it happens, but you may want to look around your house and find your nutcup, it doesn’t sound like you have it nearby.
That’s because they were all playing ten or eleven game seasons at the time. But to be fair, should there be? There aren't a lot of asterisks on the records of players who played back when there were 11 - and even 10 - game seasons.

Most interesting clip from these articles:
The Cajuns lose two NFL Draft picks in right tackle Robert Hunt and right guard Kevin Dotson
First, they had two NFL draft picks? Having 2nd and 4th round picks in the same draft must say something about the quality of the program.
Second, they lost two NFL draft picks! Surely they will be taking a step backwards on offense because of this.
Third, I wonder if this discounts the quality of their QB and RB's. I could have gained 500 yards running behind two NFL draft picks.
Another really good clip:
"Lewis merely threw for 3,050 yards with a 64.3 completion percentage (243-for-378) and 26 touchdowns last season . . . He also was intercepted four times – the fewest among all of the Sun Belt’s QB"
I'm hoping he gets at least half of that number in our game!
I'm sure the QB is good, but when your RBs are churning out yards like that, it's got to make things a lot easier throwing the ball and avoiding picks. If we can stuff their running game and make the QB beat us throwing to a depleted group of WRs, I like our chances to stretch out the score on them. Guessing the only defenses they've seen close to ours is MSU and App St.
They scored what 32 on ULM? That doesn't seem like a juggernaut to me. They just about lost that game, where we were setting school records against the same team.
This would be a first for him, as he has 410 total rushing yards in 32 career games.i was thinking isu wins by 14
leaning now towards Louisiana by 6
might be the best qb we we face all year
and they will run him all day recklessly

They've had a lefty QB, so the blindside is flipped. Is it odd that both the right guard and right tackle were drafted? Don't you typically put your best lineman on the left side? I couldn't find their starting roster to see if the starting left side tackle and guard were underclassman.
Probably the first time in his life that the slimeball known as the Rick ever talked about Iowa State.
