Big Ten Meltdowns

First of all, why the heck are you travelling to Chicago in a Pandemic? I get you want football but this kind of stupid stuff is the reason there is no football.

Driving in your car is not dangerous in a pandemic. Now, if there were hundreds of people there in a big crowd not wearing masks... that would be stupid. But there's hardly anyone there,

Information post for you. There are some thing like oil and water that do not mix. Now think about it, you are trying to mix hawkeye fans with smart decisions, they do not mix.

Oh sure, so we can have BLM protests all over the nation, but when a true unjustice such as not being able to have football occurs we can't protest that?

(I hope the sarcasm is coming through...)

Well, that's true. I guess I just assumed that if you feel like you have to drive to the Big Ten offices as some sort of dumb protest then you probably aren't following proper protocols. Honestly, what do they think this will accomplish? It is like the stupid petition to fire the commissioner. Or Justin Fields petition. The presidents already knew players wanted to play and coaches wanted to coach when they made their decisions.

No one has even been in the Big 10 building since March lol. Classic
Even the folks who support them have to be a little bit red faced. Travelled all the way to Chicago to yell at an empty building.

Kinda hard not to sympathize with these parents and the players. What a messed up conference.

Go Cyclones. It's going to be a great year!

I wonder how many of these parents have already hitched their own financial well-being to their sons' future paychecks.

"Warren should at least have met with them!"
That's one of the reactions I've heard a few times. There's zero way for that to be beneficial for Warren. He doesn't have the authority to restart the season. He is limited in what he can share. These parents want a target, someone to scream at. Nothing that Warren could say, short of "Play ball" would make them happy, and he's not going to say that. So it's nothing but a lose lose to meet with them.

This whole thing is hilarious and reminds me a bit of the whole storming of Area 51 thing. A bunch of people get riled up on the internet and say they're going to take over but only a handful of crazies actually show up.

"I wanna talk to you about something real serious. Dozens of angry parents controlling the streets of B1G city's."

Yeah, this is like when your middle manager tells you of a change that impacts you and you get mad at them. Like they have the power to stop said change.

I mean nothing will change but at least then it would give the appearance of trying to listen and sometimes people just need to vent. The biggest problem with the Big 10 wasn’t really that they aren’t playing. The problem was they made the decision prematurely and seemingly without full input.
