Yikes. Better than the alternative I guess
At Knoxville for sprint cars the IDPH is basically letting them run at 1/3 capacity. The track attendance is capped
at 7700 with capacity of 22000. If they use that rough formula for JTS the simplest thing to do would be to have an" A/B" plan where half the ticket holders get games 1,3,5 and the other half day get 2,4, and 6. Something along those lines might be best case scenario. No way are they gonna have 30k plus at games.

"The state of Ohio currently has prohibited attendance of fans at football games under its governor’s State of Emergency order, so it’s unclear if the Cardinals will be able to host fans at their games this season."

Ball State is in Indiana, not Ohio. More top-quality local journalism.

Plus the Ball State game, if held, will be in AMES, not in Ohio, nor in Indiana.

DMR doesn't know how to do research anymore unless it's old tweets.

USD is going to be our game. It's by far the least travel for the opponent. Muncie (home of Ball State) is farther away than Stillwater, actually (by about 20 minutes per Google).

Maybe they will let every Iowa State season ticket holder attend ONE game.

As long as they don’t all attend the same game!

If you can only attend one, nobody will probably go to the non con game.

LOL. Be aware of misinformation.

Probably the game would be assigned randomly. Or maybe you could be assigned two or three games depending on how many fans will be allowed. Of course it's pretty impossible to plan since the guidelines are constantly changing and there is not much transparency on how they are formulated.

South Dakota's opponent on Sept 12 is Northern Arizona whose conference just cancelled all football this fall. My prediction is we play South Dakota on Sept 12.

. . . I know playing UNI has never been popular on this board but I do think it might make sense this year for our non conference game.
I just can't think it likely that ISU would cancel Sound Dakota just to add UNI. Especially because in that scenario I see no way that ISU doesn't have to pay South Dakota's contract (I guess maybe if they "reschedule" to a future year with a bump in payout).

The Missouri Valley Football Conference just said they're not playing this fall. The non-con game is Balls Tate. There's a reason Pollard signed that one.

Not playing at all, or not playing conference games? Other FCS leagues have made careful mention of not playing conference games, but left the door open for non-conference money games.

The BYU rumor starting to make a lot of sense if the MAC also pulls the plug

Tough to hear about the MAC schools and testing cost.

Might be too little to late, but I was listening to some channel on XM yesterday and it sounds like there are a few companies ready to hit the market in the next couple weeks for home $10 dollar/10 minute instant testing. We've all heard this before, but these saliva/urine test are said to be accurate. Hopefully they can help out in someway.

why would you play 2 or three games? what's the point?

If you're an FCS AD, and could bank $500K or $1M, be done before October 1 (no more travel expenses for 6 months), and not have to worry about losses counting against playoff chances (because there are no playoffs), wouldn't that at least warrant some pondering?

I think if somehow UNI, NDSU, SDSU, Montana, Montana State, Central Arkansas, James Madison and Weber State could make something work for the fall, they'd do it but that's a TON of logistics in 22 days.
