Update with Jordan Nesbitt. ISU got specifically mentioned. Which is nice.

Now holding offers from programs like Alabama, Arkansas, Clemson, Creighton, DePaul, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Maryland, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico, Saint Louis, Seton Hall, Texas, Virginia Tech and others, Nesbitt has built upon a strong 2019-20 campaign.

"It was really about repetition, I was staying in the gym and working on my game and that really helps me to prepare for the next level," said Nesbitt. "The first half of the season I only had like five offers but after the season ended I had like 18 so it really took off for me."

Iowa State: "They had the big guard Tyrese Haliburton so that is appealing. I feel like I could maybe play like that and be at a position like him if I could go there."

Does he handle the ball a lot? I see he's listed as a SF, but Tyrese was listed as a PG coming out no? I guess it doesn't necessarily matter in the long run of things.

Big offer for a Davenport prospect Iowa State has previously shown interest in

That's the best offer for any of the instate kids this cycle. It wouldn't surprise me if Prohm offers soon.

Alex Fudge update, describes schools and specifically ISU as the “best place to be”... which peaked my interest.

“ Iowa State: "Iowa State was one of the first high majors to offer, Coach Prohm made it known that they wanted me and Iowa State is the best place to be."
“ Although his focus is on training and playing, Fudge says that he has already started thinking about cutting down his list.”

Obviously The quicker AF cuts his list the better for ISU.

A 6'8 Wing would be perfect to have.

I spent some time over the weekend at the Hardwood Classic in Kansas City. I wanted to mention a few standouts I saw and I want to start with David Joplin.

A four man who just missed our spring update to the 2021 Rivals150, there's no doubt that he's a rankable player deserving of strong consideration to be elevated to four stars. Playing with D1 Minnesota, I really liked Joplin's overall package of size, skill, athleticism and versatility. Guys like him that can play in space, knock down some shots while being viable low post options as scorers and rebounders are always in demand. It is no surprise that Joplin has received offers from Butler, Iowa State, Minnesota, Missouri, Texas and Vanderbilt since May.

Late last week, Shaka Smart and Texas opened some eyes when they offered rising senior guard

Emarion Ellis
from Davenport (Iowa) Assumption.

The offer was Ellis' first from a high major program and was added to a group that included Bryant, Louisiana Tech and Milwaukee.

I had the opportunity to watch Ellis with the Iowa Barnstormers over the weekend and the offer is no fluke. In fact, after watching Ellis, I am of the belief that he is a legitimate Rivals150 level prospect and somebody that we need to consider elevating to four-stars.

He has size, tremendous burst and is a playmaker off the dribble. He’ll turn 17 this week, so Ellis is also on the young side for a senior to be and is just scratching the surface.

“I’ve been working,” Ellis told Rivals.com. “I’m glad people are starting to see it.”

I don’t think the Texas offer will be Ellis' last from high-major programs and it certainly didn’t surprise him as the Longhorns had been in plenty of contact. He’s also been hearing more from a local school.

“When coach Smart offered it was cool, but I had been talking to Cody (Hatt) a bit,” said Ellis. “I’m starting to hear a lot more from Iowa State, too.”
