Gee, what is different about Wright county and the others???? I wonder why?
Packing plants really need more inspection and regulation. Major source of infection. They don’t tell us anything and the KimReaper is cool with it.

How familiar with packing plants are you? Have you ever worked or at least been through them during the full harvest of an animal?

There's a lot of stupid to digest here. Well done.

All of the rural Iowa counties should have very small case numbers because density is virtually nothing. If any of those counties have substantial cases they're screwed because there isn't any hospital capacity.
Convert the cases to per 100,000 people to compare apples to apples

Kossuth with 61 cases is equal to 409

Worth with 32 is equal to 429

your county has the packing plant in Eagle Grove, correct?
We have the packing plant plus a lot of people work at the egg-layer facilities. That's a big reason why we're higher than surrounding counties.

There's not much excess capacity in the processing industry. There have already been some instances of euthanizing hogs because chain space wasn't available. These plants can't be easily modified, and modifying them would dramatically reduce capacity.

Quite familiar, yes I have. Why do towns and counties that have packing plants have such high rates of Covid.?

You’re joking right? Because a great number of the employees ride together with 4-7 others each day and are very communal. They know if they don’t go to work they will be replaced so they go to work and it just spreads like wildfire.

Also the whole working inside next to multiple people for many hours a day thing that starts the spread.

Nothing funny about it. So it’s the Hispanic’s that are spreading it and nothing to do with the work environment?

If ANYONE gets the virus today, it's because of something THEY did - not what someone else did. We're far past blaming other people at this point. If you don't want the virus, stay in your house, wear your mask, practice HARDER at social distancing.

If you're in circulation, you've put your own damn self at risk.

Do NOT tell me where my meat comes from. I just want to think it's deliciously prepared by unicorns in sterile conditions and were butchered by love.

And if you work in a packing plant call in sick. Who needs a paycheck.

Right.... because most Americans workers are in a place where they can lose their jobs and be just fine? And they all work in environments where distancing is possible and everyone is certain to always wear masks? And masks are completely foolproof? Most blue collar workers have to keep working to pay for food, rent, medical insurance, utilities, etc.

The cultural diversity in Iowa packing plants goes way beyond Hispanics.
