Not sure how Minnesota is still "yellow". Peeps are generally not bad on the mask front while in stores but it's getting more crowded in retail outlets. And driving about yesterday saw lots of people dining outdoors. Actually more than I'd expect on a Thursday afternoon although I'd guess folks were opting for outdoor and not inside. Great timing this summer for reopening an old drive-in on Hwy 7. Was busy as heck and than starting doing walkup and is now closed temporarily because employee(s) got sick.
Galaxy between Louisiana and Texas? Haven't been there in ages.

Wally Mart requiring masks now. Businesses stepping up where institutions vacillate is not something I thought I'd see. I am generally more cynical about big business than I am about govt.

Must be killing some people on this board that ISU athletics is saying if you want sports, wear a mask.
I worked in industry from 37 years. Business response is a mixed bag. You cannot always count on them to do the right thing. A lot depends upon the Corporate culture. I think many businesses will realize if you do not contain the virus you will never have a sustainable economy. Sadly, many politicians are not smart enough to make the simple connection. Surprised at Walmart. I would never see them as a leader to do the right thing. Kudos to them.

Wal Mart is doing what is best for business. That just happens to be the right thing in this case. They could easily reverse course if they see their numbers drop.

this Iowa state push for masks is good. I fear it’s too late but maybe not.

either way, I’m sure they are doing it because they know it’s a lot closer to shutting things down then Jamie admitted publicly.

You gotta provide a link for that. The only statement I'm aware of is the one I provided last time we went around on this. He specifically didn't want to try.

This is the paragraph with the face covering requirement. Link is also here: https://cyclones.com/news/2020/6/25/athletics-pollard-shares-message-to-cyclone-fans.aspx

Our department continues to work with NCAA, Big 12 and university officials to finalize a comprehensive list of mitigation measures for our athletics venues. In addition to limiting seating capacity, we will reduce the time parking lots are open for tailgating, require face coverings to enter the stadium, move to digital ticketing, install additional hand sanitization stations, change entrance procedures, modify concession operations, as well as many other initiatives. A complete list of mitigation strategies for each athletics venue will be distributed prior to opening any facilities this season.
