How do you stay 6 feet away from someone on a 6 foot wide trail? I have a road bike so I can't go off pavement with it.

I don't disagree. The odds of transmitting that way are probably extremely low, but I don't know that for a fact. I want to be respectful of other people out on the trail and the fact they may not be comfortable with it. I get that may be hard for some to understand. You probably have better odds of wrecking the bike and dying than getting a virus transmitted to you as you ride by someone in the open air.
I’ve been in the road some, but mostly side roads with bike lanes. I don’t trust trails anyways with heavy use, people are too unpredictable and half the time if you call out they just jump in your path in terror.I don't disagree. Ah yeah you know I never even checked for speed limits. With a severe wind it’s not unheard of to hit 35-40 in a small group (for me that’s fast). Never with pedestrians around thoughThose mixed use trails typically have speed limits that don’t make them great for serious biking. I’ve seen Denver enforcing a speed limit on bikes a couple of times, but if there aren’t a bunch of injuries on the trails I doubt they worry about it too much.

Yeah. Way to go. This bicycle vs walker feud is going to get this thread sent straight to the cave.I shouldn’t have even posted that, but good to know. The last I want to incite is a cyclist/ped argument![]()
Looks like the next measure they would have to take above what is shown in the pictures is to reduce staffing by 1/2 to increase distances. Obviously the first picture shows from backs so you can't tell if they have facemasks behind what looks like face shields.
Not sure how they would manage a reduced staffing.
In my opinion, the number of reported cases is next to meaningless. I would be shocked if the actual number of cases is not at least 10x higher than the report number. Pay attention to the number of deaths and the number of hospitalizations. Those aren't perfect either but will give a better interpretation to how much the virus is still spreading.
I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that 2-3% of people in Iowa have had, or currently have the virus. That's around 60,000.
35-40? Are you talking km/h?Ah yeah you know I never even checked for speed limits. With a severe wind it’s not unheard of to hit 35-40 in a small group (for me that’s fast). Never with pedestrians around though
It’s mph, and really strong winds lol. Probably 10 mph back into the headwinds35-40? Are you talking km/h?
