As Twins has indicated in the past our compliance department is elite. On the merits it will be more difficult then Bolton but the feeling is that Co-Vid 19 lowers the bar significantly.
I honestly believe that the NCAA is going to do the unthinkable and allow some of these kids to be able to play right away this next year, essentially moving up the potential rule timeline of immediate eligibility.

You know damn well that staffs (football or basketball) don’t like this information being as public as it is currently being made. Unless this guy is a family member of the staff then it’s not going to last.
Who cares?

The best leak we ever had on this board was when Jeremy ran the site and TJ Otzelberger's dad would tell us whats up on a private basketball board they had for invited members of this board only. They did away with that board when they redesigned the site years ago. However, he would tell us exactly what recruits we were going to get. It was pretty cool.

I didn't know Drew was part of the "Cave" with CIMD (who is now famous).

Yeah, I wish we could have a separate site/group for trusted insiders who simply loved ISU and wanted info even if they couldn't share it outside of the group.

Is he expected to announce today?
It was announced he changed his time to tomorrow, but there was a rumor he might end up still announcing today. So stay alert and keep that nut cup handy.

Was that back during the GMAC years when Greg admitted they underestimated what type of player to recruit for the Big 12?

that’s been the rumor for awhile. They want the best productsplaying, which means not having good players sit out. They want to have an exciting competitive league after cancelling the tournament.

There are quite a few (no less than 5-6) people on this board that have really good info. One of the keys to having access to “inside information” is understanding if (1) giving the information to a freaking public board is prudent and (2) if you are just being a shill for someone on the staff.

You are correct on some of your information but literally telling the board you will “text your guy and let us know” is insane. That would have been insane under the Hoiberg staff let alone the CSP staff. If I’m the source inside the mbb program I would make damn sure to cut all info from someone like this. Unless of course you are related to a member of the staff in which case I understand the shill aspect of things a bit more.

Yep. It was refreshing. No arguments, Just had great convo's about basketball, No over reactions. Lot's of insider info. When recruits chose a different school nobody went into panic mode.

Michigan not getting consideration is a win if we assume they were the reason to delay announcing for a day.

I'm not sure what to think of that. Thinking out loud here but he announced the commitment delay and then also put out the goodbye Michigan graphic about an hour later. The timing with the Josh Christopher miss can't be coincidental though, right?

I remember the one, and I repeat one time I had some inside new info on anything ISU that I posted on here and it didn't exactly work out super well. I had learned from CJL herself during a conversation with her on a tailgate tour stop that we would likely be adding sand volleyball soon, only for it never to come to fruition. So, at least now I hold a bit of sympathy towards people who claim good sources with real intel, only to have it prove to be false.

Yeah, I had one bit of insider info on Race Thompson a couple years back. Dude I work with and his son had played basketball, football and baseball growing up and went to the same HS. I was told Race loved ISU and everything about the coaching staff, was at a point of almost wanting to commit. Shortly after, we started not reaching out to him as much, and prioritized others. Some came at me for posting it, or asked me for more info, but at that point, ISU pulled themselves out so it was moot. Some people hang too much on slivers of info, others (most) understand it's a fluid game and not an easy one.

I think peoples expectancy to get transfers is still rooted in our revolutionizing the transfer market, and assume we are still a level ahead of other schools out there in the market. Which is unfortunately not the case, whether you want to blame prohm or the fact that every high-to-mid major is shopping now. Positive about what seems to be a fall off of percentage landed, is there are far more in the portal to go after if you don't land your first choice(s) lol.
