I've teetered back and forth on Prohm. As with most of you, I love him as a human being. And I keep telling myself he lost A LOT from last year's squad. This, however, is a sign of the state inside the program. It's time. No matter how much it costs, it's time.

Agree, but I doubt JP does.
At a minimum, I hope Jamie is having the discussion with Steve that he needs to make changes with his staff. My guess-- one will retire.

Someone is getting a walking bucket. If he can land at a midmajor, I could see him getting 20 a night his senior year, easy.

Yeah, if you’re a mid major with a good culture that could surround him solid experienced players who can defend but are not high end talents...now you can add a great offensive talent and try to hide his shortcomings with your other guys.

Because this is our 5th transfer this season and 8th player to leave early in the last 2 with it likely getting to 9 or 10. This much attrition is bad
Listen, those guys probably weren't going to see many minutes, if any next year. Grill maybe, the other two, garbage time. Unless Grill got exponentially better he would've most likely been the 9th guy in line for playing time.

When Grill left we were all surprised and some people were freaking out, but Lewis now transfers, a guy that this site has ripped on all year long (whether he deserved it or not), and all of a sudden all hell breaks loose. I honestly don't get it lol. This is a good thing for the time being. Obviously for the future we need guys to stay but I'm sorry, if you want to be good this year, we HAD to get rid of a few players.

Some of you seem to think high impact transfers and Jucos grow on trees. That’s not how it works and those players usually have there choice of who to play for. There’s only a handful of jucos, at most, a year that are impact players. A high number of players transferring out of a program are HUGE red flags regardless of there talent level. It’s even more concerning when the team was 12-20 and this many players are transferring. The program is a dumpster fire at the moment.

And Steve has no intention of EVER letting Young and Conditt on the court at the same time. What a joke.

Two non-shooting big men at the same time... not sure that ends well.

Not sure I want to see either of them defending on the perimeter.

Solomon is at his best on the block, using that big body to create or deny space to the other team, and Conditt is at his best looking for blocks.

Those advantages are completely gone if they are guarding a 4 on the wing.

And we conveniently filled those two scholarships the next day after Leech and Anderson transferred with better recruits. Funny how that all played out huh?

Okay so what's the alternative for Steve? All ZG and TL were doing were taking up roster spots for guys that were actually going to contribute. Besides obvious body changes, I could not objectively say either of them got better in their time here at Iowa State. That's Coach's fault BUT it's also his job to fix it. If he thinks they won't help out next year, then we can should use their scholarships on capable players.

We have a sit out transfer who can play 1-4. We have Foster coming in who’s a top 50 recruit and 7’ tall. Actually we have four freshman coming in and the shortest one is 6’5”.

I just can't believe hoiberg gave up on recruiting and caused this to happen.
I'm with you on that.. Look where he's at now and think where he'd be at right now had he not left.
