I think he was the Simpson coach and is now at UDub - He was a DIII champion at 125 in 2007 for Luther

I don't think so. Since they are injury defaults, I think they count as matches. They have these listed as injury default (.01 second), not MFF

I am not a 100% how that works.

I see Corey Cabanban avenged a loss he had last year by beating Dack Punke 7-3. Punke was a National Qualifier last year. Solid win!

Agree- and it just shows how flawed the criteria for allocations is

I don’t like the ability to game the system. That’s not what wrestling is about. It’s never something for nothing. Giving out free wins means someone else loses out on their opportunity to wrestle at Nationals, regardless of their seed.

I wonder why Austin Stotts forfeited to Marcus Coleman in the 1st round. Marcus has Sebastion in 2nd round.

Does the Stotts forfeit still count as a win/match for Coleman?

Meanwhile, ISU trails 3-12 at the break. Mackall with a decisions, Small gets upset, and all others lose by decisions to Missouri. I am fortunate to catch it on ESPN3, but the match is really lackluster. On the other hand, their announcers are doing a nice job.

This Daily article from last year has a good explanation of allocation criteria. Only difference this year is they lowered RPI number of match requirements from 17 to 15.
