What are you drinking tonight?

Absolute Grapefruit Vodka, juice from half a lime, splash of ruby red grapefruit juice, and ginger beer. AKA a Grapefruit mule. I really like Deep Eddy's grapefruit vodka, but have a couple bottles of Absolute left though

So lucky to have a world class bar like El bait shop. Tonight:
Big Grove Justice for Barb
Jackson Street Weathervane
Big Grove Dart
Gezelig Frank get in the car.

All amazing.

Starting with a Barn Town Plays Well With Others

Was really excited to find a resturant near me serving barn town. Disappointed in this particular one though.

Tried Tincup a couple times and yes, the bottle and shot glass get me. Not a huge fan though.

Currently on the Evan Williams. As usual.

I don't hate it. But it's definitely not setting up as a go-to for me. Kind of a rough finish. I'll probably go back to the Woodford or Bulleitt when I polish off this bottle.

My in-laws recently went to Mexico and were kind enough to bring back a bottle of Maestro Extra Anejo, so I'm looking forward to busting that open soon.

Anyway, tonight I'm working through a pack of No Coast Mammoth. It's solid. Gets better the closer it gets to room temperature.

I’m training for a vacation to Germany this May, so I’m drinking Hofbrau dunkel, Hacker-Pschorr Weiss, and some grapefruit raddler tonight.

My god, Munich is filled with the greatest beer gardens in the world.
Munich is exactly where we are heading, and I’m looking forward to some beer garden time. We’re also going to tour the worlds oldest brewery, Weihenstephaner. It’s basically been operating for a thousand years. I can’t wait.

It’s a really cool place too. I brought home 4 mugs. Unfortunately one broke on the plane.

The grapefruit flavored vodkas are excellent, although I definitely have a preference for Absolut Ruby Red. Try it with some tonic and bruise a quarter of a lime into it.....it's like mother's milk.

Heard so much about Jai Alai. Really nothing special.

German/Austrian beer is light, floral and unbelievably good. There are a multitude of different breweries and no bad ones.

Scored a few bottles of this courtesy of an awesome sister-in-law in Chicago...

Aged gin. Can't get it in Iowa, at least nowhere I've looked. Only gin I've ever just poured over a little bit of ice and taken straight. Amazing stuff.
