He was standing around on defense and got pulled because he didn't even attempt to go after a rebound that went right to him
I saw that too. As bad as it was, I still think he was the 3rd best player on our team last night. We are not good.

I mean if you're trying to get more minutes I don't think giving zero effort on one end of the court is your best strategy lol
No it’s not a good strategy at all but that lazy effort on that rebound was just one example. I know for a fact I could find similar examples for everyone else.

Did you watch him play defense last night? It wasn't a one possession thing
Yes I did. It was ugly. Did you happen to watch everyone else struggle defensively or did you only pay attention to Lewis? If Lewis doesn’t play at all yesterday, we still lose by 15+ so maybe Lewis isn’t the problem? If Lewis’ guy isn’t scoring on him, he’ll just score on whoever else we put on him lol. Our best conference win is Oklahoma and Lewis played well in that game.

I honestly don't know why people even care if he plays. He can't defend and he can't shoot. He's irrelevant to the team and doesnt solve the problems we have

It wasn't only that end of the court he looked lost at times.

We are in a spot this season with no easy solutions, but people will still grasp for mythical easy solutions. I was there at one point with T-Lew (to be fair though there was a point I'd still argue he looked like he deserved more minutes). I've moved on.

I think it's because of the perception he isn't given a fair shake. Many players besides him struggle, but for whatever reason, he is the one being punished the most for it. If perception isn't reality in this case, then that leads to we the fans questioning why the real reason is for him not playing.

It's a total Re-Al Mitchell situation except Lewis isn't sitting behind a stud G/F that would be giving the coach no reason to take out of the game and insert him instead.

Lewis could take all of Michael Jacobson's minutes and I don't think Iowa State would be worse for the wear.

He can’t defend and he can’t shoot? Sure, that’s fair. He’s great in transition though. So for all those other guys that can’t defend or shoot, what do they bring?

He's getting a fair shake. Trust me

He is great in transition in garbage time I'll give you that

He is by far our worst defender and it's not even close

I found coach Prohm’s fanatic account. What’s up Steve? I’d love to know what you see from the rest of the guys that makes them deserving of their minutes based off their on court production.

I'm done with Prohm so not sure what you're angle is here. Lewis is bad at basketball. Yes he's worse than the other bad players we have getting minutes

You and Prohm both refuse to acknowledge that Lewis actually does some good things when he plays. I don’t know how anybody could watch that second half against Auburn and not at least give Lewis some credit for how he played in that game. He showed more in that second half than Nixon, Griffin and Jacobson have all year. I understand that Lewis has so many flaws. Outside of Haliburton, the entire team has so many flaws. We want to get on Lewis for his defense and rebounding while Bolton is out there getting torched every game. When your team is this awful, why does it hurt to get Lewis playing time? If you know he’s leaving next year, that’s the only valid reason I can see to not give him 10-15 minutes per game.
