Is UVA piling up off nights into a tradition, or was it really one day for them and they marched right on again as a successful program?
I'm not saying the FAMU loss wasn't bad, because it certainly was. I was saying we're not the only team who has ever lost a game we shouldn't have.

And it's a worthless argument. No critic of Prohm is hanging their criticism on that one game. But since you brought it up, Bennett and his program took the hit and came back the next year with a national title. For them, it's an aberration.

Prohm doesn't have that level of resiliency or skill, but he does have an awful good track record of bad losses. For us, it's a pattern.

Yes. We're flailing about with comparisons to Duke and Kentucky that critics of Prohm aren't making, comparisons to UNC and Roy Williams that critics aren't making, and now reaching for UMBC vs. UVA.

It's just stupid. The man is bad at his job. It's OK to admit that. Plenty of people are bad at jobs. There's no reason to make it more complicated than that.
The man won a Big 12 Tournament Title, got a 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament, and had his team in the final rankings of the AP poll last year, and you're saying he's bad at his job.. Lol

This is the second year out of the last three that we will be in the basement of the big 12, with an increasing number of losses, including blow-out losses, AT HILTON, which is alarming.
And honestly winning the big 12 tourney saved last year from being a total disappointment, with a fifth place finish in the big 12 conference, 4 home losses, and getting outed in the first game of the NCAA tourney to a lesser opponent. With the amount of NBA talent we had on the team, I feel like we should’ve done better.

What's the male version of jersey chaser?
It’s pretty awesome to see my friends who I’ve known since we were kids, who would ride around the neighborhood on bikes until the street lights came on, grow up to have awesome life experiences like playing collegiate athletics at the highest level. I’m sorry you never had any friends growing up who went on to do pretty cool things, but based on how you post on this site, I can see why you don’t.

So let me get this straight.. You're mad that a team picked in the preseason to get 6th and be a bubble team, ended up finishing 5th in the conference, won the Big 12 tournament title, and then got a 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament.. We did all of that with underclassmen, two transfers, and one player that was on the team for 4 years..

We finished behind Tech, who went to the National Title, K-State, who was a final 4 contender before they lost Wade, KU who's always great, and Baylor, the current #1 team in the nation this year who was very solid last year.. If you're upset about that.. so be it.

Good thing Dean Wade didn’t play last year against us in March. That alone gave Prohm what was really an unsuccessful year, the view that it was a successful one in the eyes of a few on here.
Prohm could've won a Big 12 regular season title and then later on lose in the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament and you'd get mad. Lol

What about the man who won an NCAA Tournament game before losing to eventual national champion North Carolina? He was fired the very next year.

We beat Kansas State by double digits in Manhattan with Wade playing 30 minutes, so we probably would have still won that game.

We get lectured on here to be nice to everyone and all of that ********, but then there are people like you that take joy in Iowa State losing.

If you really wanted Iowa State to succeed, but felt like the only way for that to happen would be for Prohm to get fired, you'd disengage completely. You'd let apathy set in and hope it set in for everyone else. You'd stop going to games. You'd stop buying tickets.

But you don't want Iowa State to succeed. If Steve Prohm won tonight, you'd be pissed.

I remember watching Wayne Morgan's teams, but don't remember why exactly he was fired.. Too young.

Yes, getting discouraged at our coach because he is constantly losing regularly and getting embarrassed with his players shows how much I hate Iowa State. You and Hawkeye fans out East are definitely hoping Prohm sticks around in Ames. Most here are smart enough to understand he isn’t going to magically change.
