Man wins Mega Billions Jackpot

Sorry that you two are still in that 10-15 wage bracket. I see caseys pays a starting wage if 12 something. If your below that it will help you out.

I do just fine. But I am also aware that not everyone has had the same opportunities I've had that has enabled me to get to where I am.

So you didn’t create any of your opportunities? I have experienced that most opportunities are from decisions and actions that we make along the way. My wife is a teacher. She made the decision that she wanted less work days and more security. She made a choice to limit her pay. I have worked with several people who attended no college or maybe a year and were clearing some pretty hefty money with no parental help at all. They started and busted their tail and out their time in. They created their opportunities.

I will stop because I sense this could turn political down the road and I despise the cave.

Bill Gates is donating most of his fortune to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for charitable work just like Warren Buffett is doing. I am sure he will still take care of his 3 kids but it won't be 30+Billion to each...

Big f-ing deal. You don't know the details and neither do I, but I think both do it to please the left. They are now forgiven and can keep growing their net worth.

Wasn't necessarily saying it was sinister (although i can see how my post could be taken that way). Just pointing out that they are maintaining control of their money as opposed to letting the government have a huge chunk of it.
Hear you. They are giving up total control. I hear u tho.

He competes on the Egyptian equestrian team? This is like a real-life Lifetime movie. If she dies soon after their married in a mysterious accident in the stables don't say I didn't warn you.

Or Hallmark: they don't get along at first but one special horse creates a bond that lasts.

You're always the positive one. We'll assume this is set in Washington because there's no way their first kiss, when the snow falls, happens in Egypt.

Is it really political to inform people who think 100k a year is "wealthy" that they can stop being terrified of paying estate tax? They have a much better chance of being attacked by bigfoot than paying estate tax. That's doing people a favor rather than espousing a political view.

I fully believe the saying that anybody who is not physical or mentally handicapped can make 100k/year. People just choose not to.

I don't agree with $100,000 and also SOMEBODY needs to do the jobs that are hard work but don't pay very well.

However I do strongly feel like people spend way too much money on **** that they don't need at all and can easily save between $2000-10,000/year if they really wanted to, wage/salary pending. I'm guilty as well...used to do 5 Hour engergies on the regular and did the math to realize I was spending $1500/year minimum on those alone. Expensive vacations, eating out, etc. all add up and people think those things are needs. Stupid.

OK. But the ranch can't be too remote. They need to have coffee or hot chocolate at the adorable local cafe and there still has to be a local charity event that she wears her fancy dress to.

Oh, no, it's totally by a cozy mountain town where everyone speaks very kindly to one another, even when they're arguing.

There's likely a widowed parent in there somewhere who finds sparks with someone they never realized was so great.

I need to get outside on Sundays more.

The cozy mountain town that she's reluctant to visit because her big city career comes first and she just doesn't have time to get away.

With that 10k you saved, at 8% you have just put $800 in your pocket. Give it a few years and next thing you know you have 100k and are starting to really reduce the required work you need to do. Too many people look at that single pay stub and then look at a side job they net 10k and don’t realize that if they put that money aside, that in 7 years or so, that savings will earn what the part time job was. It’s easier than what people think.

"We earned $800 through our investments last year."

"Great, let's go buy $800 worth of throw pillows."
