Random Thoughts 14: I can see clearly now 2020 edition

First 5 day week in nearly a month followed by another week of vacation! Just have to power through.

I will be here all 5 days this week and then only 3 days next week. Next Thursday, it's back to Virginia.

We had our first rehearsal for my women's chorus for the spring semester last night. There's some really great pieces in there...AND NO LATIN!!!! I'm a happy camper.
Bonus...we just gained three new Alto 2's.

My daughter in in HS choir right now. She heard some Latin song in an episode of Watchmen that she knew and got really excited.

I will see your wrestling tournament and raise you a volleyball tournament. Those things can go 10 hours, depending on how well the team does.

We spent 9+ hours yesterday at a volleyball tournament where we played 8 sets

It's not that I don't like Latin. But the Magnificat we did just before Christmas (see discussion in RTT13) nearly broke me. Picture the runs in "For Unto Us A Child Is Born" from Handel's Messiah...but in Latin. And faster. And I hadn't been singing in a choir in years...

I believe he did indicate which epiphany when he spelled it with a capital E.

Kudos to you guys for using the word "epiphany". Too bad it wasn't on a Triple Word Score block.
