This is the most tiring crap to deal with. Jared was in Orlando for the last week covering the team. I gave him the holiday off. I have worked tirelessly over the last 3 weeks organizing and pulling off our charter, just got back and had a family deal. Rob Gray, a veteran journalist, covered the game for us to the tune of like 1200 words. Rob never podcasts on his own. Had Kansas been in town, I would have staffed it differently. I did not expect a dramatic loss to Florida A&M on NYE. This isn’t some giant conspiracy theory. Take off your tin foil hat and read what I told you 35 posts ago.

This too is ridiculous. We criticize coaches all of the time. Go listen to the pod after the iowa game. I’ve done this for 15 years and not once have I remotely been threatened by anyone at Iowa State about access or anything. You guys think way too much about this stuff. As long as you (media) are fair to the subjects and don’t make it personal, you’ll be just fine. I have done it for a decade and a half now.

It's new year's day. They don't have to work this day typically, and most of the local media doesn't get paid to do podcasts, so they aren't working on a day off which is one of the busiest sports days of the year. It's not telling at all.

Not going to get in a pissing match with you. I could have left that Iowa's class out of it. My point is we won't have much left out of our last 2 classes after this year. Finally starting to come to the realization we may be starting to to dig a really big hole that I am not sure this staff can climb out of. Hopefully Johnson is a good sit out transfer. Has anyone heard if he is impressing at practice? Need something to give me hope.

notice I said local media.. not just you CW. But it was the worst loss in program history.. by far. More telling was the way in which that game was lost.

I’m frustrated. Not with you CW so maybe I’m looking to hear any silver lining before I downgrade my request from JP to upgrade my contribution level for 2020..

Hmmm. Makes you wonder if it is a (drinking) holiday after a week with two bowl games or something. Give them a break. We will be hearing plenty from the media. Pandy will surely have a doomsday article for tomorrow's paper.

he’s solid. Not Shayok or Will Cluburn good but better than Talley or Beverly. he’ll give ISU 7-8 ppg next year. Prentiss nixon type numbers

This access talk is always just dumb. Prohm and the guys on this website have personal relationships. It's not like Prohm is going to stop talking to them because they rip him for losing to a team that is a historically bad loss. It's not surprising.

@ TTU was a very good win. We were in an excellent position to make a run in the conference then we went 3-6. During which was the @ KState win, which was a result of THT going 6-9 from 3 (31% shooter on the season) and Wigginton going 5-6 (39% on the season). That win was an outlier of two guys out shooting their long run averages, not some great piece of coaching. Consider that it's possible to root for the team and enjoy the good moments (such as when guy's get hot like this or make a run in the conference tournament) and be objective about what's happening on the court and why.

I've been a big CSP fan while realizing that he still has areas to improve at his job (just like we all do). Prior to the Iowa game, I was concerned with our offense, but was really encouraged with our defensive play against Seton Hall (part deux). I honestly thought that this team was capable of that type of defensive play night in and night out. It is why I thought that we would beat Iowa and be, at least, on the NCAA bubble come March. The Iowa game results had me doubting the consistency of this team, but in no way did I expect the outcome from last night (even without TH). Last night was the worst game I have witnessed since the McD years. The UAB loss and last year's loss to Iowa were awful - but both were NCAA tourney teams. It boggles my mind as to what we are doing on offense & our inability to get post looks. I get sick of watching physically less-talented teams get multiple looks because we refuse to secure rebounds. To me, the past couple ISU teams are mentally weak - especially compared to the Floyd & Eustachy teams. Heck, Fred's teams were generally mentally tough (especially compared to our teams the past 2 to 3 years). Now that we have less NBA talent on the team, it looks like we can't out-talent our way to victory. That's my 2 cents. I'm not advocating for a coaching change just yet, but I am going to be far less patient. There better be more of the Seton Hall game defense and Alabama game offense going forward (but I'm not expecting it).

that’s pretty much the truth. Teams with even a moderately good coach have a system that even without NBA talent, you can plug any of your players into and it still looks like a college basketball team. Prohm loses a few guards and you are left with average players that are not equipped to save the day with hero ball.

@isufbcurt What exactly is creative about my argument? Perhaps there's something I've missed? What did Prohm do @ KState and in the Big 12 tourney schematically, etc. that he didn't do during our February losses that lead to those wins?
