CFB Playoff Rankings

Yeah but that scenario would have to happen and I don't think it will.

Doesn't Iowa have that one late season game every year where the come out of nowhere to beat a high-ranked team?

I don't think it'll happen either. I think it'll either be OSU or a one-loss PSU.

Interesting that of the AP writers, only one had us ranked above the CFP #22 and that was Don Williams of Lubbock who had us at #20. (48 writers didn't even have us ranked.)

Compare that to 21 writers who ranked Iowa above this week's committee's ranking.

It's nice to see the committee actually look at body of work instead of just a 6-4 record. When your 4 losses are to the current #21, #17, #14 and #9 teams by a combined 11 points, and you just beat at top 25 Texas team, you should be in if body of work is considered. Now go curb stomp Kansas on Saturday and #ProveIt

I think that #22 is an accurate ranking, given our schedule and our point differential.

Nobody would want to play us as a typical, mediocre 6-4 team.

Ratings jinx coming. Just rank us at the end of the season.

I would agree that I would rather be ranked at the end of the season, but this is still showing some great respect for our program right now. Putting a number next to our team also might make us a more attractive selection for bowl committees.
