I've read on here that he was really a Michigan fan. Oh well.

While I love Campbell and everything he's done here, how do you sell him to your fans if you're Michigan? Michigan struggles with Michigan State and can't beat Ohio State. Campbell is 0-4 vs Iowa.

I'm more curious how the "Process" philosophy would jive at a blue blood like Michigan, where it's a different beast in terms of expectations and the type of recruits you get there.

When you're a player or coach at a place like Michigan, you're there to win big, and win now.

Honest question, would being an Ohio guy cause the big donors to recoil a bit? Saying as an outsider to that rivalry.

Then again, if they're seriously considering Urban, they probably don't care as long as they can deliver championships.
Doubt it. Bo was an assistant for Woody at Ohio State

Wonder if Pete Carroll will ever return to the college ranks at a Florida State or something like that.

Pete Carroll is a west coast guy. At this stage in his life I would have a really hard time believing he would leave the Pacific Time Zone.

I'd be surprised if Campbell actually went to Michigan - it's really starting to feel like he truly wants to be here long-ish term - though they'd be smart to pursue him.

But if/when Campbell leaves, Michigan is the type of job I could see him leaving for. Among the blueblood program jobs it's relatively low-drama, relatively sane fans, good fan support in numbers if not quite as much passion. (Lots of "relatively-s" here because it's college sports...there's always drama and insane fans.)

Compare that to other blueblood jobs like Texas or USC or Florida State where there just doesn't seem to be a cultural fit.

Look at Stoops for a big name but they could also try for Brent Venables and Alex Grinch IMO
