Barnes ready for visits

I almost just wish he would name a top 5. I also wish he would either say we have a chance or we don't have a chance. He has to realize this built up is killing us fans. I know it's his life and he can decide when he wants to decide. I just wish he would tell Clone fans we either have a great shot or we have no shot.

Why stop there. Let's name it The Chris Colvin and Harrison Barnes Hilton Colisium. Then he would really have no choice and it would probably sure up the Colvin recruitment while we are at it.
I have heard this as well. In fact, I have NOT heard from anyone I trust (people associated with AIA, Ames High, etc.), that there is any "favorite" other than ISU.
I don't get these posters that say on this board that we have no shot. It's the old "we're just Iowa State" mentality. I wish that cancer would be cured...
I say this because of what I was told by someone I feel is a lot closer to the situation than I am. Also I try to put myself in Harrison's shoes, put the kool-aid aside, and come to a decision. I have a hard time believing I would choose ISU if it were me (that's the non-Cyclone fanatic me who does not exist).
I also know I have never spoken a word to Harrison. I hope to God he suprises the hell out of me and chooses the good guys but I surely won't set myself up for the "stomach punch".
If Johnny Walker chose State in Johnny Be Good and Jesus Shuttlesworth chose Big State in He Got Game then I think we're fine. :wink:

random thoughts on Barnes:
1. If he goes elsewhere, he will assuredly say ISU was his #2 choice.
2. I pray, please God, don't let him go to Iowa, KU, or USC and Floyd, that would just hurt where it hurts. I would prefer he pick Duke, and most importantly, no one ISU will ever play in the regular schedule.
3. Loyalty does mean a lot. If he has grown up dreaming on playing on the Cyclone hardwood, then our chances improve.
4. I feel sorry for him....way too much pressure, way too large a decision for someone so young.

Then went to State.

With our luck we would get to the Elite 8 and they would declare Lucca Ineliglbe for the final 4. Then hire Jeff Gallooly to take his knee out.
