Also, Zack Steffen has officially left Columbus and will be completing his transfer to Man City after the Gold Cup. Man City has already agreed to loan him to Fortuna Düsseldorf next season. Düsseldorf finished 10th in the Bundesliga last season and could be a good landing spot for Steffen with an opportunity to nail down the starting job.

Forgot there was a match tonight. Doesn't look like I'm missing much - 80' and we have 3 shots with zero on target.

This will be an unpopular opinion, but I think Altidore is still our best forward. It doesn’t give me any pleasure to type that, but I don’t think anybody in the player pool has surpassed him.

You’re probably right but if he’s constantly blocking anyone from coming up we’re not going to know. We should be using every friendly and regional tournament to be blooding young bucks because this last generation already failed us miserably once and I don’t want to watch that train wreck again.

The Sargeant thing is weird. Also that game last night was brutal. I'm more puzzled by the constant inclusion of Wil Trapp than I am of Bradley/Altidore.

Altidore is our best forward right now. That has more to say about the player pool than anything else. Hopefully Soto can use his nice U20 and develop into that player for us.

Berhalter explained why Sargent was excluded from the GC roster
“When Sebastian Lletget went down, it tossed a wrench into the plans and we didn’t think we could carry three strikers at that point,” Berhalter said. “Josh will have more chances, but he wasn’t able to carry over his early-season momentum with Werder Bremen into the second half. We think Jozy and Gyasi are ahead of him right now."
According to Ives Galarcep of GOAL.com

Still kinda dumb but at least we got an explanation

Today's lineup on Fox

Steffen, Lima, Trapp, Arriola, McKennie, Zardes, Ream, Roldan, Miazga, Boyd, Long

Altidore is on the bench, Bradley, Pulisic, and Adams will not be playing but expect all 4 to be on the first match lineup

Venezuela friendly is on Fox right now.

I really hope Tyler Boyd shines as one of those wing attackers because I’m not overly thrilled with most of our other options out there.

Feels weird that Fox is skipping anthems, did it vs Jamaica as well

EDIT: I follow a few Pro/Rellers on twitter, I don't think they understand what Silva/Commissio want to do is basically MLS but with Pro/Rel, they're always are ******** about all the shadiness when there's word of how they're trying to steer NPSL Pro one way when they're far from ready yet
