Random Thoughts the 13th: Jason Takes RTT

Thinking of a certain movie next week and seeing the discussion of upgraded theaters:
1. I think Z is hinting she might like to see her 3rd in theater movie. (She's been counting and practicing 1st, 2nd....)
2. The new chairs are great. There is enough space for the kiddo to join and they don't make me wish for stadium seating due to my shortness.
3. I should search and see why/when the USA decided to be lazy and use Theater for both productions on stage and the Cinema.
Most likely because in the early days they adapted the theater to show a movie (dropped a screen in front of the stage) and later started making buildings specifically for the movies.

Yes. It is quite fascinating--mostly a bunch of true outrages. As a former prosecutor, I am left wondering about a whole bunch of information that isn't included in the series, but I am easily mad as hell about how the police handled the interrogation on the guy's low-functioning cousin (and by the subsequent refusal of the Sconnie appellate courts so far to shitcan that kid's convictions). I think that a chimpanzee (untrained) could have done a better job of defending that kid than the defense attorney he had.

Are you on Season 2?

Here's a little update, by the way...

Nearing the end of Season 1. It's inconceivable to me that some of those things could happen, even now. It's obviously presented from a certain point of view, but it sure looks like they had a hard-on for Avery, and were just bound and determined to put him away.

I've been reading some stuff on the 'Net - sounds like Kratz (the county prosecutor) is a pretty slimy guy.....sexting, trying to make females under arrest do his sexual bidding, etc.

I'm also watching "An Innocent Man' doc series about the Ada, OK murders. I read Grisham's book, mostly because I have cousins who grew up in Ada and knew those people.

Funny this is I left a container of what was left in the fridge for the night crew along with other containers of leftover chili. All the other containers are there, mine is gone.
Stranger yet, my container showed up today in the break room after almost 4 weeks. Someone had cleaned it but it is one of those cheap storage containers and if I hold it close and smell it I can smell my chili so I know it was mine. Weird.

@cowgirl836 thought if a way for you to increase home time and your income. Thumbing through the channels I saw a show about that Kate and her 40 kids are now out of HS or so.

Go get set up to have a litter of 8-9 and you can be cowgirl &DH plus eight, or nine ten eleven or whatever.

Have a neighbor who lost his wife a couple days ago. He’s not the most liked one since he found a loophole to put a trailer house in the middle of everyone. Nobody dislikes him, just nobody really ever associated with them or did they ever try to associate with any of us.

This morning he fell and broke his hip. Don’t think he has had his wife’s funeral yet.

That's a bad week.

Staying at a hotel and San Diego and they've been performing "wellness checks" every 24 hours on my room because I have the do not disturb sign on. 8pm or later too. They also make me fully open the door. I was in just my underwear today to make a point.

Some ******** policy because of the Vegas shooting I'm sure. Pure security theater.

Can't a guy just spend a few days alone in a hotel room in his underwear in peace anymore?

I know it sounds petty but I stay 100 nights a year with this chain and I have for a few years now. I'm on a corporate rate and they have a copy of my ID. I constantly do the "green choice" and forgoe housekeeping. I think they might be able to keep track and mark me "not a terrorist" at this point

Because I can't find a thread on it and the recruiting thread is a cesspool.

Hey @ChrisMWilliams and @JStanz51 Maize, KS is not the small town you are making it out to be on the podcast. It is a bedroom community to Wichita so more like Altoona or Clive type of situation. His HS is 10 minutes away from Breece Hall's.

Some people were surprised and ticked off when the moron city workers in this town were flushing fire hydrants and ran the town out of water. I coincidentally tried to shower at that time, was worse than when the softner regenerates.

All the employees are life time locals, so it reflects on the math department in the town. If the town uses X amount an hour, the tower holds Y amount and the well supporting the tower can fill Z amount. How long and many hydrants can you run if they let out A amount of water an hour? Basic algebra folks.

Along those lines. My son will need to take survey of Calculus, how does that differ from Calculus one? I got to take Business Calc, but for some reason they have bumped the requirement up. He is thinking of hitting up a local CC over the summer or online DMACC to get it taken care of it the ALEKS doesn't go well.
