To your quiz question, I believe that line was in the Sugarloaf song, 'Don't Call Us, We`ll Call You.
I would say the lead guitar on here is a little reminiscent of guitars on Revolver. Then, at the end there is a little bit (not guitar) that sounds straight out of Magical Mystery Tour.
I like this one as the camel on the cover of the album is named Alfred.
I always thought this sounded alot like a Beatles's song:

There's a lot of early Stones you could pick but I think "their satanic majesties request" album is the most blatant homage to Sgt Pepper.

Off-topic, that's my favorite Wilco album cover. "Stars Wars" is probably second. Third: YHF.
This just reminds me of when Noel Gallagher said that Oasis was bigger than the Beatles. That foolish comment, combined with Noel being a complete douche bag, turned a lot of people off. Oasis was huge for a while, but fell quickly.

I was thinking it was Sugarloaf! Knew the song but wasn't positive on the artist.
Noel is incredibly talented to go along with the arrogance. I do think he needed Liam for that rock star front man in order to break out but musically and creatively Liam was just holding them back especially in their live performances. Noel doing all of their songs on his own with a different band is pretty stunning how good it is (and it is Beatles derivative but so are a lot of other bands). I listen to his live solo albums and I've got to put him up with some of my favorite singer/songwriters like Lennon/Mac, Paul Weller, Elvis Costello, Paul Simon etc.
Like the Beatles he really just kind of taught himself at a very young age where he had no business being that good that fast.
The style of the song and the lyrics remind me of The Beatles, even though the lead singer has a distinct, non Beatles-esgue voice
