couldn't remember these guys for a while, but definitely very Beetle like:
Not a Beatles sounding group, but to me towards the end of Chicago`s `Feeling Stronger Everyday`, in the background, you can hear a very `She Loves You` ' yeah, yeah, yeah`.
Difford and Tilbrook were supposed to be the next Lennon/McCartney writing team superstars. This was my favorite from them. Definitely in that pop/Beatles mold
Post of the actual song in case anyone wants to hear it. Basically about the vagaries of the music business and the insincerity of the typical record company talent agent.
This group, quite obviously. Even got the Ed Sullivan intro with a bad dub-in, LOL.

I always thought this was in that same wheelhouse. Nobody else has ever linked it - as far as I know.
This STP is very John Lennon Beatles, especially the ghost-like effect on some vocals. Guitar towards the end is a little like Harrison too.
Todd Rundgren's Utopia did an entire album that had a Beatles theme. It was called "Deface The Music"

Really haven't even listened to these guys in forever but they were definitely Beatlesesque.
And these guys have some stuff that digs into it a bit as well...fun part of this is it's about the time I happened upon them opening for The Black Keys. Other note is in 2008 I saw these guys and someone in the audience had made them a guitar, and he used it for the show.

Guided By Voices catalog is sprinkled with Beatles-esqueness. Not easy to isolate; in many cases, it blends with the band’s myriad influences (60s garage, Pink Floyd, punk, basement-quality recording equipment, and so on).
