Fun fact: My brother told my parents that we were going to see Footloose. He ended up taking me to see Police Academy instead. After the movie was over, I remember us stopping and asking someone what Footloose was about in case mom and dad asked us about the movie.
I didn't end up actually seeing Footloose until I was at Iowa State. Everyone was surprised I've never seen it.
Son just got a phone call from a small college wrestling coach. Thought it was a little late to try to be landing someone. Either a new coach or one probably out the door soon. Son not interested, made his decision completely.
That's how my niece ended up at West Virginia Wesleyan. She wanted to play volleyball and the only school interested was Roanoke College. Out of the blue some coach from WVW called and asked if she would come up for a workout. My sister packed her up drove up to Buckhannon that weekend. They offered her a 50% academic scholarship to play volleyball so they took it. She graduated 4 years later, taught math for a year then went and got her Masters in statistics from Va. Tech. I have no idea what she's doing now that she's out of school.
Guess I should ask, I never claimed to be a good Uncle.

Well, we've had a free piano scheduled to come our way from a family member who contributes heavily to my allergy problems.
After a couple weeks of worsening conditions, we're taking a real look at whether to take it or not. Early reports are that it's probably a very, very bad idea to take it.
I was really looking forward to that one. It's a real shame.
