What was your favorite movie as a little kid, or one that reminds you so much of childhood? It could have been a terrible movie, but one that just reminds you of a young place and time?

The Grinch (Jim Carrey version). I still watch it multiple times every Christmas. We had it on VHS!
Star Wars was the big movie of my childhood.

Not so much as a kid, but my favorite nostaglia movie is Dazed and Confused. There was a summer in high school where that movie was on loop in my buddy's basement, where we managed to spend quite a bit of time...
Bonnie and Clyde. It was all over the media at the time of it's release. I wanted to go see it Soooo bad. Somehow my Dad had a copy of a book about them written by Clyde's sister and Bonnie's mother. I must have read and re-read that book 3-4 times that summer/fall. Finally it came to the local drive-in theater and we got to go.
I don't remember much about the actual movie, just how it was one of those childhood things that you remember wanting so bad.

This is a big one for me, as well. I was born in the 80s, so I'm not of the 60s/70s Gen Xers. However, that movie always reminds me of the end of the school year and the freedom of summer in front of me.
Animal House falls in this same category for me. Not my generation, but watching that movie always takes me back to college and all the great fun I had.
Star Wars: "A New Hope." I know there were animated Disney movies ("Robin Hood," "Fox & the Hound", etc) that I saw - but none of those even remotely approached the level of impact that SW did. That was such an incredible theatrical experience.
I want to say Star Wars or the original Muppet Movie, but I have seen them so many times since I was a kid, they don't remind me of being a kid.
Maybe The Dark Crystal. It was weird and dark, and not really very good, but it definitely was a kid memory.
Oh, also a couple odd Disney movies - Candleshoe and Bedknobs & Broomsticks. My sister and I watched them a lot as kids. Yeah, I think this is my answer.

"The Goonies" - it was the quintessential movies as someone who was a kid through the 80s

Not necessarily my favorites, but Grease and Sound of Music always reminds me of childhood because my sisters would always watch them when they came on. I remember both of them at an early age.
Whenever our group of friends got together in grade school and spent the night, we'd always get scary movies. So Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street and Cujo all bring me back.
In high school, standard movie fare for parties would inevitably be Strange Brew, Blues Brothers, Fletch, Better Off Dead or Caddy Shack.

It would probably be Star Wars and the Muppet Movie for me too. Maybe Superman or the Herbie movies. Rocky might be a good choice. Everybody kid came out of that movie shadow boxing and thinking about trying a glass full of raw eggs.
For a reminder of my childhood it's not a movie with me. It's Stranger Things.

One movie that always makes me think of my childhood is The Time Machine. We loved that movie as kids. Moorlocks scared the crap out of us
Return of the Jedi was the only complete Star Wars film we had on VHS, so I watched that one the most. I think my Grandma recorded it off HBO. It's almost a disservice watching that movie today, on a TV that's 4 times the size of the one we had growing up.
In Middle School my friends and I watched The Princess Bride or read the books.
The old musical movies such as the original Dr Doolittle, The King and I, My Fair Lady. I would mostly get to see them at my grandparents house (cable) then finallyable to barrow them on VHS.
