Hoiberg to Huskers

Fred allegedly hates recruiting, so he takes over for a program who’s fans don’t give a **** about basketball, in a city where there is nothing to do and nothing around with 0 basketball history. I think now that times gone on, that he just hated coaching at Iowa State.

Maybe he just said he hates recruiting to make us feel better about him leaving.

He will get them to the tourney and eventually notch a W in the tourney but they aren’t going to the top of the Big 10 any time soon. UNLESS Fred has some new recruiting/transfer/player acquisition angle that changes the game again.
Yeah, they don't require top of the big 10. If fred can get them a tournament win in the next 3 years, he'll be legend there. Even if he plateaus, and they have to make a change in 5 years, he'll still be revered for bringing the first win.

I think he and Pollard didn’t get along.

There has been renewed excitement around nebraska bball. The new arena, locker rooms, and Miles elevated them some. If fred gets it going remotely, there will be plenty of fans at their games.

Maybe it's just me, but I refuse to get upset about what a grown man decides to do for a living.

Yeah, yeah, I know...but I honestly feel the negative reaction this is getting is a pretty good sign of the insecurity that some Cyclone fans bring along with their fandom.

Good luck to Fred. I can't imagine how tough it was to coach here. The pressure must've been unreal, plus the inability of going anywhere in town with his family without being bugged by fans.

That’s part of the deal when you are a celebrity. If you don’t want that get a 9-5 job where no one cares about what your doing.

Lol. God, I can just see the heads exploding of those people on facebook that comment "bring back Fred" after every loss.
