Nah not at all. The game looked over in the first half. Iowa has had a tendency under Fran to crumble when things get bad. It was just too bad the intensity in the second half wasn’t there in the first half. I never expected to beat Tennessee (or Cincy for that matter) so I was thrilled that they fought all the way back to force OT. Heck of an effort from the team to do that especially against an extremely talented Tennessee team.
ToE looked so good in the second half that Barta is extending Francis...

7' 6" guy is hard to stop when he is right under the basket. Looks like he can only be in the game for a few minutes.

Like how the announcers are all over the foul on Duke being a bad call when the guy clearly hits his hand.

It's interesting to note the differences in the expectations of the fan bases. Most of the hokfans at my workplace are of the following mindset: "I'm glad Iowa is a 10 seed. I want them to be the underdog, 'cuz there are no expectations for them to win. If they do it's just gravy for the season." This is why I suspect those fans will see their season as a great success. We fans are much more disappointed because, based upon the early season results (w/ the Iowa game an exception) and the Big 12 tourney run, we knew we had the horses to go deep. It didn't happen & the loss really stings. A hokfan at my work has kept telling me that the worse move in ISU history was to fire Dan McCarney. After these past couple of years under CMC, that has proved to be false. I keep reminding him that the worse move that Iowa ever made was to fire Tom Davis. That, on the other hand, IS still true to this day!

Yeah, a down year for most of the conference, really. Certainly wasn't a juggernaut of a conference.

Tech is a real good team.

Kansas was before the injuries and discipline issues.

ISU should've been.

KSU, ehh, with Wade they were pretty good.

Nothing elite this year though. Just a tough, competitive conference. Really only two bad teams, and one was West Virginia (who was pretty tough in late Feb/March).
