Random Thoughts the 13th: Jason Takes RTT

The deer SAVAGED my neighbors yew tree and yew shrubs. As a landscape architect it makes me almost cry. It took years for those planets to get to that size and now they are bare skeleton trees/shrubs. :(

I got some damaged rhododendrons and white pines, not sure what else till the snow melts a little more. Still really deep in my hood. I chicken wire fence the hell out of my shrubs in the winter but when the snow gets this deep you don't know what might have gotten overtopped for the bunny rats.

we noticed before snowfall that some of our bigger trees were getting bark damage so DH wrapped them all. This one is closer to the house and had no signs of anything so we sort of didn't even think about it.......thinking it was deer. Ugh, I was not happy Sunday when I saw that. Guess we know to wrap everything next year. Gah such a PITA to dig that up and replant. Plus I'm sad we lost three years' growth time.

what's the deadline for filling out the RTT bracket? I'm going to try and get that done. Someone tag me about 7pm and I should try to do that on my phone rocking the monster instead of playing wordscape.

The bracket won't close until Thursday around 1000, HOWEVER, last year a bunch of people in my office tried entering on Thursday morning before the games began and the website was bogged down with traffic.

I'd recommend getting picks in by tomorrow night. You don't need to worry about the play-in-games today and tomorrow as they don't count towards the actual bracket.

Some of us are lucky, and have both going on.

I am turning into one of those "lucky few." It already has been going away for years, and starting to gray the last couple years in places. I decided to just buzz it down on a regular basis and embrace my baldness about 5 years ago. I'd actually prefer it to go gray now and lighten up to look less patchy.

Some years ago - when we still had a piano - I taught myself to play Clair de Lune. It was my mother's favorite. But it's been forgotten for many years.........

My mom has some of our old piano music, including a songbook for Annie. Z and I have a blast with that song, so I anticipate good times ahead there.

I am truly unfortunate. I have unbelievably thick hair and not too white yet. My facial hair is the worst by far.

It just occurred to me that I probably blew off that door price request you asked me for. Shame on me.

Did you get the door issue resolved, at least?

God only made a few perfect heads. The rest of them, He put hair on.
Men who go bald from the front are great thinkers. Men who go bald in the back are great lovers. Men who go bald from both directions simultaneously think they are great lovers.

Soooooo, boys...

If Z is in fact interested, encourage her as much as possible. She will never regret learning to play the piano.

I was a trumpeter in high school and college. I started piano lessons, and quit. I have forever wished that i hadn't.
Agree with the Z part. :D
I took lessons for 7 years. My piano was a source of joy & solace over the years - the music I played usually reflected the mood I was in. I finally sold my piano about 15 years ago when the hand pain from playing outweighed the enjoyment. I still miss it. :(

I’ve got a moral dilemma here peeps.

About a year and a half ago we went to Direct Deposit at work finally. Before that I used to just do mobile deposit with Wells Fargo where you take a pic of the front and back and the next day it’s in your account.

I was going through old bills and **** to scrap and came across a paycheck from May 2017. I was mobile depositing a different check anyway so I did this one just to make sure it was deposited.. but it went through.

Usually if you try and deposit a check that’s already been deposited; it will come back with a message right away that you’ve already deposited that check and will reject it. I got a confirmation was successful email from Wells so it went through.

Is a double deposit possible with mobile deposit? I feel like I wouldn’t have just never deposited it back in 2017; but I can’t look up history that far back.

Do I just let it go or do I say something to my owners? They probably wouldn’t care anyway and if they do ask, I’ll just say that I found it and that it went through. Maybe I’m an idiot and didn’t deposit it, but I highly doubt it.

You’re probably now on the IRS list of troublemakers, though, for claiming income you didn’t “have” in 2017.
