I think the question is now for this RT Bracket is do I pick Iowa State like I do with all my other brackets or do I go contrarian since we're gonna have a higher than average rate of picking ISU to win it all?

My uncle Bob makes killer homemade kraut. And you cannot have a brat without sauerkraut. It's un-American.

The olives, you can keep. We used to ration them out to the girls.....they'd eat them by the handful. Better than candy, I guess.

when toddler me needed to take pills, my mom would crush them and stuff them into black olives because I loved those. She said the look on my face was worth the betrayal.

Current urban pest ratings:

Destruction:
#1 Deer
#2 Bunny Rats

General Annoyance:
#1 Tree Rats
#2 Rocky Rats
#3 Deer

All the snowblower snow + regular snow melted off our island to show that the ******* rabbits girdled our crabapple we put in three years ago. So much for me being happy that we had no trees to plant + pay for this year

what's the deadline for filling out the RTT bracket? I'm going to try and get that done. Someone tag me about 7pm and I should try to do that on my phone rocking the monster instead of playing wordscape.

So spring break, there is a project to make room for a hand me down piano. It looks like it might fit. So... it's going to get loud in our home. (maybe)

Well, Erik doesn't have anything to do all day.....so maybe if he sits at the piano long enough, he'll morph into Van Cliburn.

But....but....they're so CUTE!!!!

So are Rocky Rats, to some people, as cartoon characters. Doesn't mean I didn't shoot one last night. Urban setting so I can only annoy them with a .177 pellet and not send them to Rocky Valhalla with something more suitable to their rodentness. But maybe I can annoy them enough to stay away and out from under my deck.

Of the three of us he's the most practiced. I only took lessons for a year. if Z is as interested as she seems; she could outstrip me in a year of practice. I can read and play basic stuff.

Just returned to the homepage here and looked again. I'll upload as a thumbnail because I'm not trying to shame whoever hyphenated the wrong word in a story headline. However, the grammar/punctuation/spelling person inside me doesn't know whether to laugh or bang her head on the desktop.Screen Shot 2019-03-19 at 2.18.48 PM.png

If Z is in fact interested, encourage her as much as possible. She will never regret learning to play the piano.

I was a trumpeter in high school and college. I started piano lessons, and quit. I have forever wished that i hadn't.

The deer SAVAGED my neighbors yew tree and yew shrubs. As a landscape architect it makes me almost cry. It took years for those planets to get to that size and now they are bare skeleton trees/shrubs. :(

I got some damaged rhododendrons and white pines, not sure what else till the snow melts a little more. Still really deep in my hood. I chicken wire fence the hell out of my shrubs in the winter but when the snow gets this deep you don't know what might have gotten overtopped for the bunny rats.
