I hear ya. I held out for a full year after Lew got his, because his flip-phone died before mine, and I wanted him to know how to use them before I had to wrap my brain around them. Even then, my first one I used almost exclusively for telephone calls, almost never any apps. I'm sloooooooowly evolving.

Listening to MPR someone is proposing a medium speed rail line (90mph tops) from the TC to Duluth. estimated cost 5-600 million. What say you Mn peeps good idea or boondogle?

They keep proposing the same for MPLS-Rochester. It's a ridiculously horrible idea in both cases. There's absolutely no chance the user fees can support such a thing. MPLS-Rochester would get WAY more traffic because of Mayo and it's still a horrendous idea. In Rochester's case they can't make it much faster than driving it if there are stops along the way to pick up Mayo employees and bring them to work vs the Mayo buses that currently do.

My neighbor currently works for 3M in MPLS and commutes daily but he'd have to Uber or taxi to work every day if he took a shuttle so there won't be a time savings.

I would come in from the north personally. Those roads have always been a little better and that 3/4 mile dredge ditch that butts up against our ground on the south makes me nervous.
