Big 12 Wrestling Touney Thread

Chandler Rogers (OSU) earned an allocation but didn't enter the tournament. His spot goes back to the at-large pool, and the Big 12 gets 5 instead of 6.
Ok so that list was outdated. Thanks. I know others discussed the dislike over what OSU did but is there something to prevent it from happening normally. What’s to stop a #1 ranked wrestler from just not wrestling their conference tournament?

Going by the above list from Seton Hall Pirate,
Guys that received allocations, that went back into at large pool
125 - 5, allocations available are 4
133 - 4, allocations available are 4
141 - 4, allocations available are 4
149 - 1, allocations available are 5
157 - 6, allocations available are 4
165 - 5, allocations available are 5, this went from 4 to 5 because Rogers allocation went back
174 - 4, allocations available are 6
184 - 3, allocations available are 4
197 - 6, allocations available are 5
285 - 7, allocations available are 4

You have to wrestle in your conference tournament in order to advance to NCAA.

There have been injured guys who are fairly certain that they would advance, and step on the mat for a few seconds before defaulting out. That way it counts as a match and they can still be considered for at-large.

Looking at this, it appears that Straw is going to have to win 157 to get the berth.
Also, lucky Gremmel got his punched, lots of upsets at 285

Straw also needs to be ranked to be eligible, but I think he's got a good chance of finally sliding in there somewhere, even if it isn't very high. Unlikely to matter though since there have been so many upsets. Most likely tonight is all or nothing for him.

Doing a quick look at the guys that didn't earn an allocation at 157
Name Coaches, RPI
Barone, Ill 10,16 (Got 10th and Big 10 had 9 allocations)
Fox, Stan 27,20 (Got 3rd and Pac12 had 2 allocations)
Carson, Ohio 18,15 (Got 6th and Mac had 5 allocations)
Clarke, Amer UR,26 (Got 7th and EIWA had 6 allocations)
McClure UNC 20,11 (Got 6th (last) and ACC had 4 allocations, he actually defaulted out of tourney)
Santoro Cornell UR,25 (didn't place and EIWA got 6 allocations)

Barone will get an at large
Carson will get an at large
Fox will probably get an at large
McClure would of got one, but since he defaulted out, not sure
of these 6, Santoro and Clarke would be out. I have not looked at win %age though.
