I was at that catastrophe tonight. One thing I will say is that, in my opinion, West Virginia has got the nicest fans of any opponents I’ve seen. On the way in to the game a guy stopped me and was talking about how great our fan base is and he was in KC the year we played WVU in the Big 12 championship and he was just amazed at how we took the place over. Called over like 6 of his friends and they all said the same stuff. Didn’t have anyone try to talk **** or bad mouth or anything. Just a good group of people.

Except that last season where his rebounding numbers dropped by half and all he did was take 3’s and everyone hated him.

Yeah his role, and minutes definitely changed significantly between his junior and senior years.

That’s different though. You can’t forward narratives if you’re honest.

I know you like to post in ways to try and belittle everyone else because you don’t feel your own life has any importance. It’s probably best to get in contact with a psychiatrist so you can discuss these things with them.

This is what you have. I’m not the one acting like a child here. You get **** on because you’re wrong, as usual, so this is your comeback.

Says much about you, and your critical thinking skills.

My wife told me this season is like UAB in slow motion.

Reminds me a lot of the Hampton season. Things started off really well, then you could see the wheels falling off at the worst possible time. People can defend Prohm all they want, but this is his team now. This should never happen if you know what you are doing.

I cant help but laugh at those of you bringing up the possibility of canning Prohm after this season. You dont fire a coach who has made the NCAAs. Not a good look going forward in potential searches. Not to mention our AD who gives his hires more chances than Prohm gives Lard. It took three years of 3 wins or less football for Jamie to take any action.

Prohm will be here next year.

Good players, can't overcome bad coaching.

“Social media, handling success, having a young team, being put in adverse situations — all that stuff,” Prohm said. “The outside world is a lot of factors. Three weeks ago, the narrative on us was that … we’re really talented. We space the floor and share the ball. Now the narrative is that we’re soft — in three weeks.”

I read that as blaming the players and I'm not buying it. He has two NBA level prospects. I'm not saying they are RJ Barrett or Zion, but with coaching and another year, the idea was LW could be drafted this year, and THT (he literally turned 18 this year and the NBA loves raw talent) either this year or the next.

The defense has gotten worse and the L's keep piling up. They went from the 13th ranking in the dance with one of Prohm's statistically (basing this on KenPom stats) better defenses he has had at Iowa State to just another average Prohm defense in a few weeks. This is not a sweet sixteen team. It's a barely scrape by a first round game and then get obliterated by a better team. Unless we get lucky, like a mid major knocks out someone the first day and we get the leftovers of a high teen seed, like Chris Beard's Little Rock in '16, to play. That same coach we will play Saturday looking for his first title in the Big 12.

Our only hope is the team is magically healthy this last week and uses Hilton South as a spring board. If we beat Baylor, then you will know we are not a soft team and have broken through whatever metaphysical barrier as impeded this team. I'll hope they do as I'll be down there watching.

What have I been proven wrong on? You never really prove anyone wrong you just resort to name calling and belittling. Get in contact with a psychiatrist and set up an appointment today. It’s not too late for the sake of you and your dog and wife that you take your rage out on.

Didn't read the whole thread so sorry if this common thought has already been posted.

In the course of about 3 weeks we went from being the team "nobody wanted to see in their bracket" to one that pretty much everyone can look past to go ahead and prepare for the next round. Mind blowing.

There's enough blame to go around for everyone. The players have checked out and I don't remember watching an ISU team that has quit like this. Prohm should be cutting a huge ass check back to the ISU foundation when the season ends because he hasn't earned many of those zeroes on his contract. I've been an ISU fan for 30+ years and this is one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen.

Not angry, just disappointed.

Every team goes through a slump at some point, but this team did not handle adversity well, and things appear to have gotten away from them. Plenty of blame to go around between the coaches and players.

Will be interested to see what changes are made in the offseason (assistants, players, etc.).

Will still be there on Saturday to send off Shayok and NWB. Just hoping this team comes around when they get to the "win or go home" tournament. Just a bizarre season.

A few years ago Roy Williams had a team he didn’t like very well. It might have been the one we beat down here, can’t remember for sure.

He said he didn’t become a coach to coach effort.

I’ve been to 4 games this year. In Waco, the guys played hard. In Lubbock they played themselves into the floor. TCU they played a bad half, but I thought the effort was not great, but ok, particularly in the second half

The game in Austin last week was the exact opposite of Lubbock. They broke, and went through the motions, other than George.

He’s having to coach effort. When you have to do that, pick and roll defense and blocking out are the least of your problems. Gonna have to take a serious look at the way everything is done after this season.

The '15 team was completely organized different getting Nader and McKay. Add the fact that Niang was becoming the all around NBA player he is today.

You are fake news. He shot 1 whole 3 more than the previous year and actually made more at a higher percent.

If you’re citing statistics from 5 years ago, but don’t remember the change in his usage, then you’re not making a very salient point.
