If you do it, I'm in. Lew will probably join also.If there is interest, I can.
I can never remember if I mentioned this, but I dated a girl who went to St. Olaf. She was really cool and nice and really seemed to enjoy it there. So if your daughter ends up going there I'm sure it will be a great place (I'm also kind of biased towards small liberal arts schools). The only story I specifically remember was her saying that for orientation one year they chose Toy Story 3 as the movie to play out on the quad for the new students. Probably not the smartest decision. We visited St. Olaf University last Friday for a scholarship day. They fed us pastries and fruit for breakfast, lunch in the dining hall (which was really good), snacks during the afternoon sessions and dinner in a ballroom. They also gave us a cookie as we were leaving. I highly recommend having your kids apply to St Olaf if for no other reason than to get free food.

I haven't seen 3 either, but I just know it's a tear-jerker.I've never seen any of the Toy Story movies, what's the deal with 3?
My parents were with me my freshman year but I've been on my own ever since then. I do go home relatively often though so it's not like they never get to see me otherwise.Am I the only one who moved to college without their parents?

Pluto will always be a planet to me.

Meeting with admissions counselor, campus tour, student panel, presentation about their "conversation" classes, faculty panel, award presentation.I am trying to figure out what they fill all that time with information wise.
The students seem really polite. So many of them held doors for us while we were walking around. My wife and I were standing in a hallway, looking out of a window onto the campus when some guy came up and started talking to us. It was the college president. Also, the students seem to take academics seriously which describes my daughter well.I can never remember if I mentioned this, but I dated a girl who went to St. Olaf. The best news is that she officially eliminated Iowa from her college search after receiving their financial aid information yesterday.
What's scary is that it's almost $10,000 cheaper than the other college in Northfield, Minnesota and that college gave us nothing but coffee. For what St. Olaf costs, you should be getting 3 hots and a cot. (Figuratively speaking, of course.)
I don't mind the waiting to decide. It's hard to compare until you receive all of the financial aid packages. We are down to two right now. I think it’s determined where he will go but still dragging his feet. Apparently his whole class is. Counselor said he hasn’t seen a senior class like this.

They did offer her a really good scholarship (paying for about half of the cost). It still costs quite a bit but she may still receive another scholarship from them.

What is his other choice besides ISU? You don't have to tell us if you don't want to.
