He had the perfect opportunity this year. Kansas is down and ISU had more talent than anybody else in the league. Instead of capitalizing, his team just completely implodes with inexcusable home losses and uninspired efforts against sub 500 teams. If he cant do it this year, I don't see how he is ever going to. I don't think he is building anything here. Just stuck on mediocrity.

I remember a bunch of ppl on this forum making fun of Scott Drew's TO usage, where are all those people with how Prohm uses his? What about trying to set up a play out of a media timeout or time out? How about prepping the team for the upcoming opponent. Everyone in the nation knows what Baylor does, REBOUND, shouldn't we have prepped for that?

Serious question, what is his specialty as a coach? Feel like we lack an identity.

I actually agree with this.

If it's defense, that's not happening, at least if it's supposed to be emphasized.

I think they're up there for offensive numbers but seriously just watching KSU right now and TCU today and the patience, ball movement, etc. looks better than what ISU is doing.

LET'S FIRE HIS ASS. SCREW HIM.

MIGHT AS WELL DO THE INEVITABLE AND GET TJ ON BOARD. THE POWERS THAT BE ON THIS BOARD WILL BE HAPPY AT LEAST. AND WE'LL PROBABLY BE BANNED FROM SAYING ANYTHING BAD ABOUT HIM.

Talen and Haliburton are young. Everyone else is an experienced D1 college basketball player. The young excuse is overstated.

You're right. The team is garbage. Fire Prohm. We have 40 years of coaches that are far better than him.

He's not wrong. Failing to win the league is fine, but to fall out of the race the way we have is inexcusable. Two weeks ago we were a game back with the easiest remaining schedule. The computers had us as the favorites. Plenty of analysts were describing us as the most talented team in the league. We have one of the best home courts in the country. This wasn't just the opinion of kool aid chugging Clone fans, this was a lot of experts and media around the country.

To come up a game or two short losing to KSU or TT would have been just fine. Having KSU or KU get hot and win out to beat us would be fine. But getting swept by a struggling TCU and beat by a short handed BU, two of those at home, is inexcusable.

This looks on paper like our best window for several years, and we aren't even going to be a factor. We will lose Marial, Babb, Talley, and likely Wigs next year and I am not that impressed with next years recruiting class.

We look like program that can make a tourney more often then not, but I agree that I don't see any signs that we are building to anything bigger than that. Some fans may be content with that, but I think the ceiling is higher at ISU. Just look at what is happening across the parking lot with football.
