I think Degen can beat those guys at 49, and really interested to see where Parker matches up. Brock has not been himself this year.
Degen will be a step behind Gfeller but I think he finally gets Thomsen. I think Degen will get the 2nd seed and make the finals.
Gomez will need to get by Bridges but has a great shot at making the finals.
Parker has Demas, Brock, Alber, Turner and Findlay. If he is on opposite sides of Alber, I think he has as good a shot as anyone. The rest of the guys are beatable. Alber has been wrestling really well.
Colbray would need to beat Jacobe Smith but he could pull off the upset.
Miklus should make the finals, but it isn't a given.

While I definitely think we could blank the Sooners tonight, I'm feeling a little on the pessimistic side this morning so I'm predicting a 24-9 victory. Ian, Chase, and Marcus drop close ones and Austin, Sammy, and Willie pick up majors.

WrestleStat has it 22-9 for the Cyclones, with a major for Willie at 197, and wins for Oklahoma at 149, 157, and 165. I don't put too much stock into WS but it is always fun to look at.

Can't disagree with that, there's lots of matches where ISU is only favored by a little bit - I'd add 174 to the one's you already listed. Plus we'd need an upset at 141. Blanking a team is tough to do. I think we do have a shot at it but yeah, we'll probably drop a couple.

I could see us losing 2 matches but I see Marcus taking care of business. I think it is more likely we win 10 than 8, team will likely be motivated and energized to wrestle in front of the home crowd. Maybe I am too optimistic!

We wont be making the trip down tonight....Cold weather with the livestock will be keeping us occupied. Hoping we can pull a complete blank against the sooners!

Good point about the home crowd. Could definitely be the difference between dropping a few and winning all 10. Hopefully we have a fired up crowd the guys can really feed off tonight.

I will be interested to see how Chase handles the Dresser comments about his pace. He has a pretty good schedule coming up to prove he should be at Nationals.

This Oklahoma team has some young talent. I want to see Parker get it done tonight. I think they win 8 of 10 with 41, 49, 57, 65, 74, and 97 being some close matches.

I have heard rumor that he will try to medical and transfer to Wisky. Only rumor, but I have heard it.

If he comes back, 133 will be really tough next year. 4 seniors is all in the Intermat rankings. Highest rated of them is Lizak at number 8.

Demas is outstanding upper body and extremely explosive, but from what I’ve seen can fade a bit in matches.

I’m sure the coaches have him scouted and Parker is ready. I think that Parker can get a big win here if he stays out of big moves early. Be gritty and pull it out with his riding and maybe a TD in the third.
